Rude the decision is wholly yours but I think you should try to come and do 2/3 shows. It won't be same without you for a bit. I know it's probably not affordable but maybe bring grandma and the little one. we can't afford that though so I get that. Flights too expensive. We plan to do some of this but grandma is gonna come stay at our house plus we have scottie living here. He's like a live in baby sitter for the girls. They love him. He's been so great with our little ones.

How do people plan to get from city to city while on this tour?
-
I'm excited for the games today. I plan to watch the first 2 games at least. Then take kiddos to the park and to get ice cream. Then maybe watch the 4th game while making dinner.
-
The plan is to hang a bunch with you guys if possible. We definitely hoping for a central hang out spot with a lot of you there. We have a baby sitter for the shows worked out I think but I also think we may have a friend who would do some hotel sitting for us as well coming along so we could hang after show and before. No guarantee on that yet. If that doesn't pan out, we probably head back to hotel after shows pretty quickly.
-
We will be staying at a hotel. Since we have the kids with us having a hotel to retreat to and shower and have a pool helps immensely so we will be looking to hang out in and around these RVs hardpan. Hopefully you guys can coordinate to get a group of them together.

Sorry if this one already exists. Banjo plus 3. The kiddos will be with us for this one.

Embiid definitely deserves mvp this year. Dude is a monster. I'm not ready to say he dominates with brute force like Shaq did. Shaq was a beast but Embiid has other aspects of his game that Shaq just didn't have. He can hit some free throws and shoot the ball much better than Shaq. I'm a big Steph Curry fan and grew up outside of Philadelphia. I am hoping for a Sixers Warriors finals. I'd pull for my Sixers there. Unfortunately I don't trust Harden enough to feel comfortable predicting the Sixers beat the Celtics or Bucks for sure but I think we got a chance to beat anyone. Harden overrated in my opinion.

We will be there a few hours before show. We fly in and out of Memphis so we will catch the Memphis show as well. Be great to see you Doc.

Tonight's games should be good. Especially that Celtics Nets game.
-
I saw the Bobby sighting too. Pretty cool. And yes the dubs look like real contenders right now. I'm a big curry fan so if it's ends up being my sixers vs Warriors my heart will be torn a little but I'd have to root for my sixers.

Incredible finish to the Nets Celtics game 1. Tatum hit a lay up at buzzer for win. Irving dropped 18 in the quarter as Nets erased 15 point lead to end up up 5 to eventually lose by 1 at the buzzer.

I don't feel like many on here follow the NBA that closely. We talk college hoops and football. Some NFL. But not much NBA. I, for one, am excited about this years playoffs. I feel it's truly wide open. My sixers could win it all. Or the Bucks again. Maybe the Celtics and you can't rule out the Nets. That's just in the East. Warriors or Suns look strong in the West but you wouldn't be shocked if Memphis pulled it off.

We caught the first set of Shakedown st with Stu Allen tonight. Quality music although Stu played respectful with their Jerry guy and I feel could've stood out more if he chose. The crowd kind of sucked. Lots of standing and talking. At one point, we found a decent spot behind the soundboard but of course that's in the vicinity of the ping pong table. After one song, two people decided it was time to play ping pong. We had to move. Sometimes the Denver dead scene disappoints me but of course I'm that overly critical dead fan that wants the crowd to be quiet and dancing while the band plays. At the very least, quiet and listening to the show. You know, engaged in the music. It's often more of a social hour at so many roads. Of course, we will be back. They get some good dead acts to come through. JGB pretty frequently. I had two strong thoughts after. I want a bob weir stfu shirt and I miss the old DSO days when I first got into this music when at least it seemed to me more people went to these shows to listen then to be seen and be heard. I love my DSO family. They bring the heat and taught me to respect the music. I doubt we resurrect the rugs but the rug people brought it every night at the jubilee. We had some epic dance parties. It was special to be apart of it. Can't wait for May. We catching the Caverns and Memphis plus Jubilee. It's going to be a great month of music. Thank you so much DSO for enriching my life and bringing me that ultimate joy. So much love for this band and this community. I miss you guys and love you.

Tiger playing at all was a Miracle. Be interesting to see if he ever truly competes again.

Dark star was solid. Major sound issues for JGB and Oteil. That was a big bummer.

No one is saying the SEC champ doesn't deserve to be in or even number one. I'd even fight for Georgia to be the number 4 team if they played Bama close. You know a 24 to 21 game. A game like auburn played. Georgia got handled start to finish.
-
Ya Georgia let us all down. 2 SEC teams again. CFP is getting boring in its current format. Just crown SEC champ national champ. If you not in SEC you have to do more to get in. It's almost feels like intentional corruption. Keep league special. Georgia through that game. Bama couldn't score against Auburn. This amazing QB couldn't get it done against Auburn then he smokes Georgia. Let's do best of 3 from the top of SEC.

There was an event down in Texas recently were people died. Shit can still happen today. I wonder if anyone will be held accountable. Astroworld festival.

I guess what really turns me off at times about it. Is those I've meant throughout the years. Ratdog phil and friends Furthur are turned off by it. Those that taught me kindness. The way of the road. Open your doors. And to dance. Many just don't or won't go. We were keeping the legacy alive. They were keeping the legacy alive. And many are just gone.

I want to like your post Huck but honestly most of the people I meet that associate themselves with the dead because of dead and co aren't my kind of people. They aren't connecting with Jerry and hunter's vision. And yes some old timers are touring and I'm sure lessons and traditions are being past down but it's like the people in Colorado that drive Tesla's. Their snootiness overwhelms you that you could careless that they doing the right thing for environment. It's more hey look at me than I actually want to save the planet. it's time Bobby and Phil and the rest of them recognize that the dark star orchestra is carrying the dead's legacy going forward.
-
So Mayer just said in an interview that Bobby has discussed dead and co continuing after the dead members retire. Dead and co carrying the legacy on?

Where were you Ed?
