While I am a self-proclaimed setlist junkie, show reviws have been conspiciously absent since Belly Up. I would love a report on the City Near You closer. Anyone want to indulge me or are board regulars not in attendance?

WONDERFUL SHOW!!! Must have been 2500 Starheads grooving to the sweet sounds. The crowd on the floor went all the way to the back of the hall and 90% stuck around until the midnight curfew. Great seeing all the Colorado Starheads....how about some more Colorado shows PLEASE???

So Dave... I know it was your first time seeing JM with DSO, although I'm quite sure you've seen him on the island with The Tricksters. I'm interested to know what you thought of Mattson, and how he fit, after seeing so many shows with JK. It had to be a bit of an adjustment for you.Care to opine a little more about your first DSO experience with Mattson on lead?

I am close to tears at this point. Couldn't go last night. Worst timing for a show ever. What a set! They always kill it in CO. Anyone have any words about Rob's side project? I am debating driving to Vail Sat. to check it out. Flying out for their NYE run in a couple weeks. Can not wait!!!

You are correct, I saw JM play with RB and the Zen Tricksters back in the late 80's. I've also seen him many times with DSO over the years but never in the lead guitar spot. Jeff was wonderful. He got mad skills, I was very impressed. He seemed to gel very well with Eaton and they played off each other all night. DSO V2.0 is also a band beyond description. Can't wait to see them again.

Just want to add again how incredible the crowd was last night. I'd be very interested to hear the numbers but it felt like a near sell out!!!

Thank you, this was the one I have been waiting for! First on my wish list for the "City near you" tour, and we got it!!! And they played the heck out of this gem. The band was all smiles, seemed to be having a great time. The guest keyboardist's playing was difficult to hear in the mix, but he seemed to be filling the Keith seat very well.

They stuck to the setlist, although I don't think they did the Dark Star/Wharf Rat jam section, instead sticking to PITB jamming.

Wonderful night, thanks DSO!!!

I must agree with the above, all is well in Dark Star land. RB was missed, although the rest of the band smoked. Kevin well defined in the mix. Eaton great as usual, Mattson, just like you all said he would be, Dino solid, Lisa as always awesome. Funny thing, Holub called the show within 5 minutes of start time, 1 drummer, in a city near you tour, etc. One of our cronies looks over at me and says," if its 11/21/73, it was my first Dead show". What a great way to spend a Saturday nite. Love you guys and gal, long live Dark Star Orchestra! And yes the floor got relatively crowded, but we held our own.

No snow or wind. Other than that, a freakin kick ass early Christmas present. Thank you for spreading the holiday cheer. My stocking is completely stuffed after that show. Has anybody ever said that DSO rocks? Well they go above+ beyond that. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Season's greetings to everyone. Can't wait until spring.
