  1. Any intel on arrival time for camping on Friday? Usually get there 10/11A to get set up before music, site says gates at 4:00, potentially for entrance into venue? Praise DSO.
  2. Original Recipe. Expressway, Alabama Getaway, Why Don't We Do It In the Road, Corinna, Might As Well, Tom Thumb Blues, Passenger, Althea, Strange Man, Women Are Smarter, Reuben and Cherise. Sugar Magnolia, Touch of Grey, Unbroken Chain, Dear Mr. Fantasy>Cryptical>Drums>Space> Other One>Jam>Cryptical>Mission In the Rain> Sunshine Daydream. E: Quinn the Eskimo. Sunday service delivers. The boundless energy of the elective swept all away on a journey to all states of the human condition. Well played throughout, the combination of song selection and execution intoxicating. Passenger shreds, started out on Fred Astaire, then I soon hit the harder stuff. (a reference to the steps Skip danced in lieu of a functional bass on Sat.), Reuben spot on. From the Fantasy home pure gold, the Other One an absolute monster and had not seen Mission in ages. Great family. Amazing band. Praise DSO.

Band arrives in town in fine form. Transition to the Roses silky smooth. Bobby McGee stellar. Band jelled nicely for the Playin'. Second solid, on a personal note I moved behind the soundboard and found space, volume, and color--you know kind of like a BDP. Goin' Down the Road inspired and the Eyes of the World exceptional, Skip leading the charge. Rest up all and see you at 6. Praise DSO.

  7. Great thread and comments all. Those GOAT conversations always get the juices flowing. Nailing down a single performance can get tricky, there are a number of factors at play. Personal headspace, Bands performance, song selection, venue, dance space, the family you share the experience with. Every once and a while every thing is just exactly perfect. Fortunately I attended 07/05/19, and thought of other evenings everything clicked. I believe the show should be an elective, where the band had the freedom to roam. An evening in Atlantic City came to mind. 10/08/06 Atlantic City Hilton, Atlantic City NJ Here Comes Sunshine>Walk in the Sunshine, New Speedway, Hard to Handle, Big Iron>Cumberland Blues, Lazy River Road, Passenger, Harder They Come. I stalled the Bus on the 5 getting there, and with no starter everyone got out and pushed. Sunday while selling grilled cheese preshow several customers recalled the blue bus being assisted in LA traffic. Praise DSO.

Goode>Black Muddy River. last El Paso 87/04/09 [157] Late March/Early April just a lovely time in Grateful Dead land, the boys played on this date every year from 1985-91. This list from the second night in Pittsburgh as spring tour rolled on. First set inverted opener, the Bertha a little slow out of the gate. Nice selections the rest of the way in the first. Second provides a prime example of the machine at work, the pre drums especially stomped. It was 32 years ago today. Praise DSO.
