  1. I like Hardpan complimenting the band getting everyone into the teton mountains, when I told my college skiing friend who now lives in Nashville he couldn't believe how reasonable they were. I always thought DSO keep good pricing. I remember doing a 5 night boulder Denver run and yay-hoos were up in arms about $25.00 tickets. I reminded them how good they were and $25.00 for a two setter night in an intimate settings with the caliber of the other fans was ridiculous. Well I guess it's rapping up about now and hopefully we'll get the kind posts like the 1st and 2nd shows. Thanks for mentioning the sunset during the start of the second set. Reminded me of that Scarlet Fire at Annie's outdoors by the river with the sun being scarlet and going 🔥. Esp with the Jerry Band Roses and ending Lonesome to send everyone out into the lot together. They few times I caught one it was a show stopper with smiles and good spirits all about
  2. Alpine 84, with the night before spacing into Dear Mr Fantasy and the following shows being the Greek series with the Friday the 13th experiment. That Fantasy was a big deal around here in 84, made Alpine a destination site for years to come, getting bigger and longer until the final rainout series in 89 and the end of the most spectacular parking lot camping EVER
  3. How was the Micheal Cleveland inclusion? Tonight' s is cut down to one set because of the rain coming in,but oh what set. When the guest female vocalists joined in it was all JGB. Saint>Wang Dang Doodle, lay down Sally, Tore up, midnight moonlight, love light, mns I think I'm missing something. Oh yeah, St Stephen after MM
  4. 3 in Nashville, 2 in Dayton, 3 in Chicago. That RR WSP event has a YouTube video sped up to show the rocks being covered by blankets as doors open
  5. Saratoga 85 Midnight Hour> Bertha>little Red Rooster Stagger Lee>El Paso>Crazyfingers>Supplication jam>High Time, Hell In a Bucket>Don't Ease *followed by another emotional first set the next night in a rain soaked Hershey Park
  6. Won't be my last and still have sights on the August run🤞
  7. Exceptional Stella Blue
  8. I knew that Dark Star was coming out at homebase after the Rockford show which I met my home town friend on his way back from Montana. Every show since coming back from Ventura has been really good. The shows leading up to S & R put a lot of pressure on the band. At RL Blair said it got real when plane tickets were in hand. ❤️ "What makes you ryde so high to put a loving star back in an empty sky" ⚡ "You don't change those chilly winds for any other place"
  9. Good topic weather. My favorite set was first set third night. Knowing we were getting another elective, esp after the Mattson and Friends set, meant we could get anything (like some more JGB or airplane or anything) that lifted my spirits. Fire from night one was crazy good and long. I started my phone's smart recorder after the first verse sensing we were in a monster. Black Peter makes me want to say thank you to the campmates and other forum folks and unknowns throughout the weekend for being there. AC hotel might as well be the Bates motel after the past year and I needed my friends to come around and good lovin', first night set the foundation for the second night. Meeting people who weren't either the first or second nights, I got to remind them those were warm ups for Sunday Funday. At BMFS three night stand in Cincy, my long time touring friend stated before the third night that he thought the first night was better than the second (admitting he knew more of the songs in the first night) I replied that anytime spent will William Apostle is a blessing, can't denegrate or hail one night better. Same with Dark Star Orchestra, especially at Jubilee. Isn't each show another practice session for the next?
  10. I believe I heard Pink Floyd's Money coming out of space, Jeff did those opening signature licks.
  11. 3/5 is quintessential Jubilee as is Jessica 💫
  12. Let's not leave out The Masters of War and Senor delivered by Mattson and Friends and how kind the rail was at all the shows
  13. Don't Ease> Mama Tried>Mexicali US Blues Need a Miracle Bertha Big RR Blues Minlglewood They love each other Looks like Rain Might as well Scarlet Fire Dancin Drums Space Black Peter Good Lovin' February 1979 Love the one you're with
  14. Hartford fest being $135 early bird camping and festival kept me away. Both festivals were a week apart from each other. One of my touring friends from the dead found JHMF and I never recovered from Dark Star Orchestra leaving of Grateful fest at NLRQ. All will be well, esp with this weather forecast compared to what I've read of past Jubilees.
  15. Oh my goodness, that's enjoyable just reading, and the thought of being there... can't explain. This I would like to hear and will maybe soon, thx forums and DSO
  16. Doesn't sound much like a VIP experience 😳
  17. Summit Music Hall is no music hall. It is barely a bar, bathrooms behind the band, I've given it more than it deserves (6-8 visits). Come on down for the October RL show , better yet do the upcoming June 2, 3 shows in the parking lot outside the mousetrap in Indy. They don't have one bobby and one Jerry, Charlie does both , if you caught a show where your bobby guy soloed a lot, you lucked out. The head space is all askew in that bar. Rude, I figured that Facebook might be the only recording. That is the first show of a band other than the dead that I wanted a copy for more listens. No mics, no z-man
  18. My vacation resets on July 31 allowing me a run from Indy through Dayton. 🤞
  19. Bill is credited with curating Friday night's setlist and two fans credited with picking Saturday's. First set from 1973 which was this person's first show and the second was another's first show, like 78 or later. Lightning struck the ground when the rain came in Saturday. Then it hit two more times. Jerry was reaching down so the band played a much needed Wharf Rat. The audio on the Facebook stream from Friday is horrendous. I'm looking for the archive.org to hear if it's any different?
  20. In talking with ET on Sat., he said BW sent them home with 300 songs that could be on his setlist! He then called on Friday, day of the show, and added Twilight! (which they had never played, but rendered it profoundly). Positively 4th got the full treatment. that show's energy was off the hook, esp the second set Fire. both Scarlet and Hell had big lead ins before committing, similar to the 83 buckets, but the scarlet intro, very much like a Fire I went to the bathroom after touch of grey only to return with St Stephen, I did not take my eyes off of them the rest of the weekend.
  21. Not the times I've been there. Band on a stage in the field, audience in the seats between third and home.
  22. Fraze Pavillion would have been choice for the Dayton area. The free GA movement of Fraze would have been nice for dancing and mingling. Looks like Rose is reserved seating with rows separating people? At least I've heard Rose is good and it's OMSN⚡ I didn't mention Springfield at all with theses tours being revealed. Didn't want to jinx it. RL can still be done with the fall announcements.
  23. I was at that and you can see me killing a tall beer in my red Ohio State jacket going in with a hidden bottle of tequila, a D6 and mics. They were promising a set by the band. I taped a lot of the shinagans through out the 3 hr filming. Saving batteries and tape for the set to follow. Alas we got no midnight set. Thought for sure we were getting something special. It was Monterrey and Jerry was back. Next time you're over we can watch it D/C Barton Hall 5/8/23 Set II China Rider Help Slip Franklins D/S Scarlet Fire Morning Dew Terrapin
