  1. Roger Waters was too heavy on the radio hits. Did get an enjoyable The Powers That Be from the Radio KAOS album into The Bravery of Being Out of Range. Way up high are the best seats for this in the round production. Very Bloodyband gory. It was a good show,. go run and see.. definitely his last run , just wish he did only solo material. Fortunately no drunken screamers near us
  2. This also works for cucumber sandwiches.
  3. Billy Strings Friday night in Indy. Average show in a super packed Amphitheater where they had the house lights on all through the show. Boo. I'll tell you when he hits it hard; however, this was not the show. For one thing he's bringing on a violin player who has to add his lead to each song. And the violin takes up a pretty big space in the sonic world. All good except we didn't get as much banjo as we used to and Billy Failing is a bango player extraordinare. Dark Star was lingering all around the show, but he didn't make it happen. A lot of people around me were hearing it we were all hoping it would be a night full of diamonds. Also was looking for the HSF. Not to be. Almost seemed like Mr. Apostle mail it in which is not BMFS standards. Just saying. It's all fairly new as he's only 29, so there are years of development ahead. Billy stayed on stage long after the show acknowledging the audience after the house turned on music to stop. He still appreciates the magic of an audience. DSO knows this as well. They've been at it for 24 years. Hoping for some upcoming midwest shows to take my dollar.
  4. Ain't Superstitious, It's So Easy To Slip, Alligator JGB cover : Senor Original: Valerie Playing In The Band
  5. Maybe already mentioned One Toke Over The Line and Dreamweaver (Brent)
  6. If Hunter's included he usually started out with Promontory Rider and his version of wharf rat Mountains of the Moon
  7. All three Louisville shows are live free stream on www.mixlr.com Search Billy-Streams around 9pm. Last opened again with a Meet Me at The Creek. Breakin to the new guy in proper. Also an All Fall Down , crazy good preshow, set break and post show tunage from their sbd guy, Andy, it's half the fun of listening to the stream.
  8. No that is not a possibility. He just signed up a fiddle player for his band. He is not JK. He did create Billy Strings Cheese Incident and did an amazing 3 set show with them. Second set all dead. At RR 7/12/22 check it out, freak out
  9. Friday the 13th Scarlet Touch Fire Encored with the final Dark Star until the Warlocks hit Hampton five yrs later
  10. July 6th 1986, hot, hot, hot and the lot had an undercover van with a mushroom window cruising the lot and arresting people who didn't even have the cash to get back to Maine. Stella Blu July 6th, 1987 Indoor summer tour show when Jerry gave Heaven 's Door to the Grateful Dead (weird tour with three indoor shows, Roanoke the other 2). Maybe the indoor arenas were evening the score with the stadium Dylan shows in that run?
  11. Wonderland Toronto 6/30/87 Most of the songs had something to do with the border crossing hell people had to go through to get to this show. 1 1/2 hour search of my car. First set Ramble on rose (try to walk the line), think of terror if you give this show a listen. Esp. second set other one (heat came round and busted...)> china doll (just a little nervous from the fall... it all started to make sense to me) and then cheering us all up with a Dear Mr Fantasy (something to make us all happy) I was once again at peace. I had a D5 and knew the Scarlet Fire was coming out there, had to be there, did the whole tour with a had to be there approach. Wish I could bring up the set or a link, but at work and just wanted to chime in on 6/30
  12. Saratoga Springs where the high Time came out, you know the year
  13. It definitely isn't the last fair deal in the country or the town
  14. 6/25/21 recreation after the 6/24/21 RL recreation of the 6/24/85 recreation
  15. Winter weather Advisory Avalanche warning in effect from 6-9pm tonight Expect weak lightning with no thunder
  16. Anna talked with someone at work today who said he went to the show last night and one of the drummers was replaced at set break. This yayhoo didn't know the name of which one. I think it was Billy as another friend sent me a photo of Micky on the space machine he grinds at the end of drums. I hope everyone is alright
  17. My buddy in Denver sent me a video of the Boulder IKYR and scanned folsom field with his camera. It was packed to the gill. I watched the Fantasy on YouTube and it was a bummer. Decided not to spend the $70.00 plus fees to sit on the lawn and watch a video screen and pay $15.00 for a beer that gets warm to quickly. Sorry to hear of the local dead band not getting much of a turnout while this Dead and Co racket is packing em in. We get substantial attendance for Hyryder shows. In the past years I've done Dead and Co, I've ended up leaving after space. Glad I didn't go last night. There was a terrible thunderstorm that came through. the list looks so so.
  18. ⚡ I'm an idiot . Didn't realize there was already a cup thread.
  19. Did Peter Rowan play old and in the way?
  20. Had a wide draw from around the country as opposed to a local Zanzabar bar show. Memphis might have been the safest show with that in mind.
  21. Good Times Bad Times to close the second set on Sat and While My Guitar Gently Weeps to open the show on Sunday. Wish we had seen you. We were under an easy up all three days, two rows over from Shakedown. These were, hands down, the best I have seen Phish. They came at it with a vengeance, sheer rock and roll. Did you see the tornadoes that hit shakedown on Saturday?
  22. Tonight at Memorial Hall, 300 seater, here in Cincy, saw Jonah from Terrapin Hills festivals. Two new albums in 2020 and one coming out later this year. Also played It's a Great day To Be Alive!
  23. Thx for mentioning David Olney. Still he stays in my mind like many others who have gone on. Not too many of us to talk with about the hidden giants. Titanic!
  24. Congratulations Scottie, we've never met but your love and appreciation of Bobby and all the side bands caused me to send you some tapes. Really glad you got to play with the band especially a Sugar Scarlet Fire Women, WOW! Cudos to Dark Star Orchestra for keeping it real and making it happen. That's some serious band/fan connection. Very happy this happened! and yes video would be a great watch⚡
