  1. She’s making history, gonna leave a legacy. As with all of Dark Star Orchestra’s members.
  2. Yea, I love that set list. Acoustic set looks like it could be from 1980, ripple closer.
  3. ....well, the sun gonna shine, IN MY BACK DOOR, some day. March winds gonna blow all my troubles away.
  4. Well, as a fan, I know I had a good show when I feel all warm and fuzzy inside yet, I’m not sure what they played. Sometimes, it’s weeks before a song from that night makes it to the front of my head and a smile how’s up on my face. When a band member isn’t quite sure what was played, you know it was an incredible show. I only knew a small percentage of the songs played that night but I did know I was seeing something special. I tried to focus and take as much of it in as possible while it was happening. The band was making history that night.
  5. Yea, dogs are territorial. I was working in the gardens around the house on a horse farm. The dog barked at me through the window for hours. As soon as he got outside, I got bit. I violated his personal space.
  6. I got bit by a customers dog last year. If not for quick thinking, that dog would have done a lot more biting. The owner took it back to the humane society. I ran into the director the next week. They didn’t put the dog down. Instead, they put it back up for adoption. They do not put a dog down until it bites three people. True story. I’m wondering if the dog obesity problem is that eating humans is fattening.
  7. well, it wasn’t White Rabbit. Lisa was singing at the top of her lungs, like she was all night. She’s incredible. That might narrow it down.
  8. I was there. Agree with your take. Different but not in a bad way. Another fun night. I like it when the band does just what they want.
  9. Caught Jeff and friends last night in Ardmore. Interesting night. A lot of songs that I didn’t know, which makes it tough to learn them while they’re being blasted at you. (I’m not complaining) Run, Mary and Who was John highlights for me. Sitting here in limbo had me dancing my hands off. The songs they played gave Lisa a great opportunity to shine and she took full advantage. Don’t let go, Deal, tons more. A couple of fun songs, the band enjoyed themselves. My first time in Ardmore, good crowd, not sardine style. Nineteenth nervous breakdown first set closer. Some Beatles tune.
  10. the stars have fallen out of alignment. I have a ticket for Saturday night, maybe two tickets, for anyone who could use them. Thing is, the tickets are in Chestertown, Maryland. I’ll know later today about the second ticket, gotta find out the logistics. Make that two tickets available. Make that no tickets available. I moved heaven and earth, got a he stars to line up again. .....gonna get there, I don’t know. Seems a common way to go.
  11. That’s the thing. The stars are lining up for me to make it. Plus, I need a show, now that I think about it. Gonna be fun.
  12. Jeff and friends Saturday night in Philly. Got my ticket last night. Looking forward
  13. I just pulled up along a car in town with the tag GDTRFB, Delaware. I rolled down my window and told him to look at my tag when I turn. I flashed him my BOXRAIN. We had a moment.
  14. I can’t resist. Is he the victim or the crime?
  15. It might be an innocent reason why it’s not available. I’m not so sure they approve just anything. I’m also not sure if you had already been preapproved on that one. It is a good one. I deciphered it just the other day. Estimated/eyes, right?
  16. I have always called space, ‘dinosaurs on the moon’.
  17. Nice! I saw that exact tag but Delaware, decades ago at this point.
  18. My experience is that they’re too ‘big’. You have to run them through an app first or I think you can make adjustments to your phone before you take the pic but then they come out blurry(?). I looked into it at the local Verizon store and got an ‘ I don’t know’. PG knows. I saw her answer this question buried in the posts somewhere in these forums.
  19. Service to others. Give, help, inspire. Do this because it is the right thing to do, knowing that Karma is real. Your prayers do get answered, probably not how you anticipate them to, but they do get answered. Once in a while, you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places, if you look at it right.
  20. I had a vivid dream last night that I was in the parking lot before a Dark Star Orchestra concert, getting ready for the show. I woke up in a really good mood. I can’t wait to go back to sleep tonight and see what they play.
  21. Gotta love those early seventies first sets, they just go on forever. Dancing endurance test.
  22. Interesting insight into the original set lists dynamic. I think we just got our answer.
  23. Gotta be fun when the start of the last song has people realizing, that’s right, they never finished Sugar Mags and realizing just how lost in the nights’ music they were and how much fun was had by all. Happy for all who had the experience.
  24. That’s it! Mine was a simple white label in the middle of the album, no markings, with a plain white album cover. All of the labeling was on a Xeroxed sheet of paper wrapped around the album cover, held in place with the cellophane. It had a familiar group photo of the band (circa 1980, go to heaven) on one side and a typed song list on the back. I had five or ten bootleg albums back in the day. There was a record store nearby that specialized in rare stuff. I could count on them. I gave all my albums away to someone for putting them on disc for me. My first bootlegs.
