What an easy escapade to Charlotte! The Amp amphitheater opened in fall of 2023 in the planned mixed use area south of Charlotte. After work we drove up through some pretty significant weather. It has been a very rainy May, dumping lots of rainfall at a time, but it didn’t stop the show! Very easy parking. I had dinner outside one of the restaurants and listened to the first set, cooling my heels after a long day of doctoring, avoiding getting drenched, not that it mattered much. But for a while, it was luxury to dine and take in the music. The rain stopped pretty much second set with a light cooling mist every now and then. 😃 We got an upgrade to pit while checking in as a kind man gave us his extra. Astroturf might just be my favorite outdoor ground cover! Funny, I felt most comfortable on the springy fake grass! It gave heavenly cushion, no nasty beer spills to avoid, good footing! Scored all night in the endzone! We had great dancing all around. I’m sure the sound was better on the lawn. I couldn’t hear Barraco as much in the mix where I was. The spirit of a dead show hovered around as St Stephen dropped. That old familiar feeling came knocking. Groovy NFA with very nice percussive moments in first half of NFA and Eaton and Mattson trading licks and pushing the music further in the interplay, clearly delighting Eaton. Truly, the HSF sandwich with all the extra stuffing delivered a meaty, sonically tasty meal. The slipknot fomented in second half, Skip booming deep bass riffs. Yes, may the four winds blow us safely home in this crazy world! Meanwhile, might as well celebrate like a Saturday night- grab the sunshine when you can- smell the roses- and forget the tribulation of the world. US Blues never sounded so right. 💃🏻🕺🏻🌹 Excited for Asheville and Charleston. First encore, Don’t Do It.

We were late and I couldn’t tell you the songs that well anyway but Jake played guitar and did an awfully fantastic rendition of Tom thumbs on vocals. Lots of Colorado’s music family showed up to support him and even Jay Lane made it out. It was a fun night for sure.

Funny when I read all gone 3 weeks later I thought you guys was being stupid cause he doesn’t die until 73 but like usual you guys no better than me I get it now last show not when he leaves us.

1976-10-09 Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Oakland, CA Promised Land, Mississippi Half Step, Cassidy, Tennessee Jed, Looks Like Rain, They Love Each Other, Minglewood Blues, Scarlet Begonias, Lazy Lightning-> Supplication, Sugaree Saint Stephen-> Not Fade Away-> Saint Stephen-> Help On The Way-> Slipknot!-> Drums-> Samson & Delilah-> Slipknot!-> Franklin's Tower-> One More Saturday Night, E: U.S. Blues F:Can’t recall, Take a Letter Maria Wowzers! Pretty rainy but not a drop on me 🤣 Beautiful stuff - set 1 had such a good bounce with the Sugaree madness to close. Spellbinding Help > Slip breakup - sounded like they done it a thousand times before and not even a shred of mercy for the dancers with THAT 2nd set. It was just one long amazing song. Thanks DSO and Crew ❤️

I count 7...can't figure out which I'm missing. 🤔 Either way though, hard to believe that would all be gone 3 weeks later after the Europe tour ended. 🥲

Really looking forward to tomorrow’s show.

Love and miss you, Doc. Broke down here, too. 🙁

I hope to see and dance with many friends tomorrow at the Tabernacle. Please forgive me if I don’t remember your name and can’t remember who you are but that’s just my mind getting too full as age tiptoes along. Hopefully I’ll be on the rail for the first set but latter find a place to sit down and rest this broke down palace. Peace and Love, Doc

Dancin vibes for sure! After the Shakedown Sandie with that spacey Low Spark filling to close set 1, a funky Dancin sounded like it was in the cards

Was hoping to hit Asheville as it's only 5.5 hrs, but the new job has me until noon. Huh, maybe I'll try to get it switched to 11am so as to make the 6 start time?🤞🔥🛞🇱🇷

I believe Jeff Matson and friends did a full blown New Potato Caboose, along with Lawyers Guns and Money (Skip), and Paperback Writer to open. Lisa with a grate Tears of Rage. -
Thanks for playing it with not only extended jam per my request, but within Shakedown street sandwich. The music this weekend was a reminder of why you should never miss the jubilee

I was mesmerized by the Shakedown—>Low Spark—>Shakedown right in front of Barraco on the rail. The non verbal communication between him and Warren was palatable as the notes, chords, and changes displayed their bonds as both looked at each other throughout. The rest of the band were the more than adequate backup players of this ridiculously good version and the musical highlight of the weekend for me. Another fantastic 3 days at the Jubilee. 100,000 steps in 3 days according to the smart watch.

dead and co is so slow its painful , what I've seen anyway. Billy Strings is the real deal, I've been watching him for a few years now from my couch and I really like him.
