  2. I was listening to that this morning. I got chills when, before Tom Thumb blues, everyone was chanting ‘we want Phil’ . Pretty nice birthday present.

  4. I was just talking to a man who I work for on his farm. He’s extremely far up near the top of the pyramid in the medical profession, graduated number one in his class for physics at a Princeton. He plotted a graph of the number of cases and deaths. He said if things continue at this rate and nothing changes, we will have thirteen million cases and 400,000 deaths by May first. Kinda scary.

Middle show of the jaw dropping three night run at the Cap Centre to kick off the Spring 90 tour. I have worn out these recordings and consider this show the top of the three. It was 30 years ago today. Praise DSO.

  6. One of the hopes is that social distancing slows the spread so that medical resources are available for those who become critical. It spreads through human contact and there is no vaccine. What would you like the government to do? No one likes this whole situation, but if the government would have mandated quarantines or closures even earlier, people would have complained then, too. I think the government is in a pretty tough spot (regardless of how I feel about some of them). Not sure why your landlord or utility providers shouldn’t get paid. You’re still consuming their products, yes? Why should your ability to pay them change the contract that you entered into? Interesting times, that’s for sure. Hope you and everyone here is safe and finds peace amid this scary situation.

  7. Asymptotic people evidently can spread it. Epidemiologists indicate that seems problematic. Hopefully the power grid stays up so we in the death demographic can stream all the excellent suggestions on Now Listening while social distancing.

  8. but then again Dso didn’t want to be the only band on the road and a new story come out that several people at the show were positive and everyone there had to go into quarantine. I think much of this is no band wants to be the one who caused a lot of fans to get sick. Plus Dso crowds have lots of fans 50-70yrs old and don’t think they want any fans to die because they decided to tour. No one wants that kind of PR. matt those 2 outdoor shows are great venues. Good choice. Was hot as balls but a great time. Chesterfield has grass tiers concreted in so it’s a flat dance surface everywhere which is awesome. No one wants to dance on a slope.

  10. DSO has cancelled March and April shows. Here's a note from their FB page: "If the thunder don’t get you then the lightning will!“ Wise words in these rapidly changing times. While things are uncertain, together as an organization, we are committed to ensuring the safety and health of our fans, producers, staff and everyone involved in putting on concerts and festivals across our fine nation. In order to do our part to help stem the spread of the coronavirus, DSO is following various government issued mandates that require enhancing social distancing by postponing mass gatherings. At this time, our upcoming March & April tour dates are being canceled and are doing our best to reschedule dates as much as possible. Ticket info and details regarding these postponed shows will be forthcoming via each local venue, please stay tuned. In the meantime, please follow all the recommended guidelines coming from official health sources to stay healthy through proper hygiene and reduce community transmission to help curb this epidemic. We will keep you all posted on the concerts. In the meantime, “WE WILL GET BY!”
