  2. Not sure what century that thought comes from Doc. Women not interested in seeing a show would be interested bringing their kids from 8p-midnight to help babysit other kids??? This convo is weird. I just want to take the kid with us and jettison him for 4 hours not start some weird sexist commune where women are forced to come to shows they have no interest in just to babysit their own and other kids. Iā€™m out

  3. I was there when Phil Lesh & Friends played Viola Lee Blues four times during the 2nd set at the Riverport Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Mo. on 7-10-01. It was unbelievable to hear the song played four times. This show makes my Top 10 List of live shows I've seen since I started seeing live concerts in June 1980. Set 1 Playin' In The Band* > She Belongs To Me* > Truckin'* > Playin' In The Band* Doin' That Rag > Midnight Train > Passenger > Doin' That Rag *with Bob Weir Set 2 Alligator Sugaree Dire Wolf Viola Lee Blues > The Eleven > Tons of Steel > Viola Lee Blues > Strawberry Fields Forever > Viola Lee Blues > Lovelight > Viola Lee Blues Encore: Into The Mystic

  4. I'm not on Facebook, but a friend forwards me some of this stuff. Cat's name is Scott, and apparently he's written a couple books on The Dead. Today's post: 10, 2 Decent enough stuff overall, but my eyes popped when I got to the "Brent became a presence onstage as large and important as Jerry" part. I'm all for a bit of hyperbole to make a point, and I'm a huge Brent fan, but come on, man! What band were you watching?!? šŸ™„ Might be time to give his keyboard a time out. šŸ˜†

My 2nd frank show was in november 1984 at the newport, early and late shows nice of dso bringing frank alive again. As the thread started just one: 9/25/21 Riverbend 85
