  1. The Seven?! Looks like you had The Main Ten covered over the last 2 😁 Been on a field from 730a till now cheering on the Jordan Dirty Birds Ultimate Frisbee team. My rising 8th grader got to play for the high school team, play with his brother, and managed scored the final point of the tournament! What a Mothers Day present. I’m exhausted - hoping to see Bill K in Raleigh 2Nite for some dancing inspiration ❤️

  3. Sound last weekend was no bueno. Bummed - was looking forward to the homecoming from Skull n Roses. Glad they try to stream all of ‘em tho
  4. Check out this Nora Jones-esque Brokedown. 7:35 of video - You’re Welcome
  5. 7/28/73 recreation! That'll be one hell of a Mountain Jam...
  6. You might misunderstand: I would take DSO over all-comers - not even a debate. Dead+Co had a great night, that's it. Happy to be seeing DSO in my neck of the woods next week - it's been too long and I can't freaking wait!
  7. I'm far from a D+C homer and been pretty critical just like everyone else who loves what they love and want it that way. Very good effort and result from D & C for 5/8/23! I listened to both sets and they really ramped it up during Estimated and then never looked back. 2nd set was excellent! If they were pumping out stuff like this nite after nite, I would try much harder to see them. Prolly a flash in the pan but it was worth spending the time!
  8. Agreed - very good blues guitarist - that's about as far as I'll go.. Why did you have to bring up Mayer's 'O-face' ? Then it forces me to do this:
  9. Newbs gonna newb - that's just how it goes. Thank you for enduring my considerable ignorance. Did you know that John Mayer had a successful solo career before gracing D + C? He was also one of the original Swifties 😮
  10. "She gets PTO whenever she asks, right? Right!?! RIGHT?!?!"
  11. Gotta say D & C crushed it last night. Very enjoyable and they were feelin it! If they play like that for the 'Last Tour' then folks are going to be in for a real treat. Note to self: YouTube live comments are the literal dregs of the internet - as if I didn't already know that Literally hundreds and hundreds of comments bout Joe Rogan being dead and then weaving Joe Rogan puns into setlist songs - so bleeping weird. There were many on there who either forgot to take their meds or took too much of their meds. It was a total looney-bin but the music was surprisingly excellent!
  12. Wow - that Tweezer is nutso! It's more nuanced than I was expecting and the Shreddy parts were very well done. Thanks for sharing, DD! Still feels like the difference between sex and making love but I like both - just one more than the other. I've received solid advice on such matters
  13. First show I saw was at a student union (Denison College) 1990. I was marveling at how much people were losing their minds over the show. It was alright - fitness trampolines on stage was a bit of a twist. This one fan kept trying to explain to me the land of Gamehenge and it’s epic genius. Made me think of Dungeons and Dragons for some reason. I saw them a few times when the Dead weren’t touring. It was fun but it was in such contrast to what I loved about the GD that I always left a bit musically unsatisfied . NYE 92-93 @ Northeastern U, Clifford Ball (‘96?), and Hampton 1998 were the only ones i saw that were great. Undeniable talent though.
  14. https://www.meetupatthemovies.com/ Was at this one - chilly but oblivious. I was pissed for a day or 2 after they decided to fake me out coming out of Space. It’s all gravy now

  18. Never miss a Sunday Shoe! Phil’s lineup was the best since the Q! stream got cut - with curfew, there shoulda been a few more - but they Smoked IT 🔥 Jessica, Mason's Children, St Stephen, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, China Cat Sunflower > Shakedown Street > New Speedway Boogie > Viola Lee Blues, Blue Sky. Encore Set: Golden Road, Brokedown Palace > I Know You Rider, Sugar Magnolia Please listen to this Brokedown Palace - It’ll change your life ❤️ 7:36 on this vid. Tears in my eyes https://fb.watch/k5FZgM8FQM/?mibextid=tejx2t dont need Facebook
  19. Ain’t no real debate but if Hyryder comes back next year, I hope they get a better slot. Prolly listened to 6 hrs straight! Ain’t no way it scratches the surface of bein there but it was great fun for me ! Thankful for the free stream ❤️
  20. Smokin 1st set. Monitor issues for the band but sounded just fine to me! 1976 or elective: Might As Well, Mama Tried, Row Jimmy, All Over Now, Loser, Minglewood Blues, Bertha, Lazy Lightnin > Supplication, Sugaree > The Promised Land Bertha throwin me off I know this is a DSO fan site and I aint tryin to upset the sandbox - BUT - Hyryder’s set knocked it out the park ⚡️ They’ve paid their dues and deserve some professional success. Hats off to them boys !!!! EDIT: somebody tipped the show - prolly right. Won’t post till it’s over
