  1. My first show was today back in 1983 followed by my second show the next night. I wasnt fully on the bus to be at the first night of the three or to follow down to santa fe afterwards
  2. It was in the early seventies riding with my older sister's boyfriend, Rob Kandell, in his VW bug, freezing of course, and he was playing Jethro Tull. It fascinated me that he was playing these ripping songs without having to rely on the radio selections. Good old Jethro Tull is some of my most favorite heart felt music. The cassettes were like a magic potion that brought in new, unheard music to my world, especially fun while in a car whipping around town.
  3. Good crowd showing up for these shows!!! I think this is a good reason the band is playing Asheville on 8/27 and 8/28
  4. We weren't able to access TXR when in San Rafael first weeks of July. My first time back to the bay area since JGB Warfield shows and it's kinda a lost cause being there without getting to see Jerry.🤔. My cousins are in Big Sur, Carmel and Santa Rosa and then up at Garberville we did the Avenue of the Giants and Redwood National up past Eureka; however, its a bummer not having the magic at night. Too bad Phil can't pass the torch to some other heads? I remember your review when you first posted it. 🎯
  5. My second order of tickets, had the two show deal of $20.00/per night and came to exactly $50.00 with fees. the option wasn't offered when I ordered at 11am. Hope to see you there Brad! and everyone, plenty of space at my house for any out of towners that want to keep costs down and the celebration up! Seriously, come on down to cincytown! That last show at Annies (now Riverfront Live) was one for the ages with a beautiful second set scarlet>Fire with the sun setting on the river, by Sept. 24th we could be having another sunset experience, the stage is right next to the river and security has been totally hands off at all the Hyryder shows there recently.
  6. Yay! Tickets were only $30.45 with fees. Hyryder plays at the trap 9/3 and 9/4 at only $22.50 including fees per night, Born Cross Eyed 9/17 in Lexington for $15.00 no fees, LTGTR If anyone needs a place to stay, LMK, I've got you covered.
  7. Space> The Other One> Wharf Rat> Sugar Magnolia. Seems to be more of this combo closing out shows than any other. What are some others you see them close out shows with as much as this?
  8. Gotta say its a fire followimg a scarlet that peaks out. or 12/31/78 Dark Star>Wharf Rat, love that dirge groove they go into the rat with, also my favorite harmonic transitions from scarlet>fire at that nye extravaganza
  9. Its a Riverbend thing because they bought up the private lots where we used to have shakedown street and party. Recently, at The Black Crowes concert, the cops shut down anyone setting up to tailgate because its all riverbend property now. The no tailgating is strictly Riverbend, not ticketmaster. Also, TM says people can get a refund at site of purchase. Sorry for the confusion
  10. Ticketmaster just sent out a message that noone will be admitted without official papers proving full vaccination for the upcoming Dead and Co. No refunds being offered for those who havent or cant get it done before the 9/11 cincy show. On top of that there will be no tailgating day of show. They got cops on bikes who patrol the lots and write tickets. Complete opposite of the best shakedown street ive ever experienced this past weekend with the 3 Phish shows at Deercreek. Security openly said they are not going to hassle anyone and that is exactly how it was. I'd day there was a 1/2 mile of booths set up vending.
  11. Emmylou Harris 8/4/21 PNC Pavillion, Cincinnati (Los Lobos opened and played a Bertha, their whole set ripped) Here I Am Orphan Girl WAYFARING STRANGER!!! Red Dirt Girl Easy From Now On Emmet Till Raise The Dead Get Up John Green Pastures Las Vegas Bright Morning Star Goodbye One of These Days Pancho and Lefty Michelangelo Wheels Luxury Liner Bang The Drum Slowly Shores of White Sand The Pearl Old Yellow Moon. E: Together I recorded it if anyone wants a copy. 2 cds 95 min.
  12. Legitimate questions and phrasing. Deadheads, as I know them, like to keep it real and can accept and answer some of the nuts and bolt questions. When i did a go fund me donation, i didnt find out about the $15.00 fee until after the deal went down. Hopefully, these forums are open to discussions like these that arise. I do know that Ron, awhile back, said he wasnt accepting donations anymore.
  13. I think maybe elective since past two were recreates. Wish they were following up with Monterrey or Eureka shows
  14. Jerry Garcia is listed as an actor in the Donald Sutherland version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
  15. Saratoga was kinda a relief on that dustbowl run Saratoga was kinda a relief on that dustbowl run. Tea, first summer tour?
  16. David Hidalgo is a bad ass, the fuckin' wolves bringing peace to the neighborhood

  18. This Friday at 11am Emmylou with Los Lobos tickets go on sale for Cincinnati (August 4th), Dayton (August 7th) and Grand Rapids, then she's off to Switzerland for 2 shows. Its a 4 show run with Evanston, Illinois already on sale. These shows are not mentioned on her website.
  19. damn near 5 hours of music
  20. I believe it rains there with only one scraggly little tree for cover 🙄, Syracuse used to be a hub for deadheads tho
  21. Before it was addressed, I was thinking it would have been cool (if they had the time) for a second truckin' in the second set. 😏 Time and distance are incorrigible restraints
  22. That I did Hyryder at the trap 6/5/21 Cold rain and snow Big boss man minglewood Roses On the road again Peggy o Cassidy Fotd Dancin To Lay Me Down MNS #2 Help>Slip>Cosmic Charlie Terrapin D/s Death dont Truckin Ship of fools Viola Lee Blues Encore: The Weight
