  1. I have a friend who got a BBP at his first two shows. 2nd being that Louisville show, 1st was early set from Cleveland HOB a year or two before. I told him he had to be the only person in history with multiple shows and 100% Big Boy Pete exposure šŸ¤£
  2. I was at the trap last night for Hyryder. Was a last minute decision. But I got myself in the stream mid first set as an Easter egg for any of you who go to watch it. šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
  3. I remember what itā€™s like to play with new toysā€¦ when keep on growin first popped into rotation. I felt like I personally had about a 60% hit rate on that song for about a year.
  4. Was an awesome weekend for sure. Night three I staggered up to an opening in the crowd to get ready for DSO and looked around and was just surrounded by forum folks. Putting some more faces to names is always fun (even if I wonā€™t remember the names). I feel bad sometimes for people who chase other dead bands and donā€™t know how good it can be. We are spoiled. This weekend is evidence. As long as Iā€™m able, I will continue to not miss a jubilee
  5. I had a blast again. Itā€™s been an awesome weekend
  6. Yeh 1st set looks a little jumbled. I donā€™t recall Cassidy Peggyā€™o or MNS, 1st ended w/miracle Bertha maybe? Possible things were jumbled in the interest of time? I could also have blanked out for a stretch here or there. šŸ¤£
  7. Phish is a person you bang for fun. A little skanky, but fun. GD is marriage material. Lol
  8. Iā€™m hoping I get lucky and get a couple Midwest weekend runs when I donā€™t have tickets to be out of town somewhere else. DSO is my favorite show by a mile, but jubilee is all I have on the horizon on that front.
  9. In 97 a security dude at a Deercreek campground told me that he hated the phish kids because there were always fights and theft when they came to town. I held on to that bad energy grudge for a long time. Then a buddy said he had free tix to see them at Deercreek in ā€˜21 and it was his birthday so I said what the hell. I had a good time. Iā€™ll do the Deercreek run yearly and maybe a spare weekend run here or there. They are never gonna have me in tears like the Hunter poetry and Jerry licks, but I seem to have a good enough time. Luke likes going, Sammy still refuses. šŸ¤£
  10. Luke and I went up to Newport to see ā€œend of the lineā€ Allman Bros tribute. Out of Nashville, Iā€™ll definitely catch them again. They are at Z bar in Louisville Saturday but Iā€™m outa town. So we looked to see if we could catch them nearby somewhere else and they played Newport last night.
  11. Iā€™m hoping to get a Cincy and Indy weekend sometime in summer/fall. But yes Iā€™m also holding a buttload of tix for other stuff and I have to hope for no schedule conflicts. šŸ˜†šŸ¤£
  12. That Brady center was rough when we went to Billy there before. So packed youā€™d piss your pants before making it to the restroom. Was glad I wasnā€™t drinking
  13. I started taking the boys when Luke was around 10. Heā€™s 20 now and they have 50+ DSO shows under their belt.
  14. Man that was the best Iā€™ve seen Bobby in a long long time. I really enjoyed that show. Crowd was hyped up for the palace too. Sylvio featuring tequila jam, and eyes/whatā€™s goin on, and the Dew were my highlights along with BTW (favorite Bobby tune) in the 1st.
  15. Man the last two weekends I have hit this little soon to be private club in Louisville. Itā€™s just starting but apparently a guy who used to post ā€œliving room concertsā€ online with local musicians bought a place to start having these shows. No cover, BYOB, and they pass the hat with 100% of the donations going to the artists performing. 1st week I went was a bluegrass band that I basically watched grow up and become a band down at Terrapin hill farm. Last night was a local legend who played old blues and gave us a Peggy O. Dude is a music lover who tells everyone that this is a ā€œlistening roomā€ not a concert hall. A place for music lovers to go to listen to music. Just a freakin beautiful spot for live local music with no hassles. Heā€™s been doing this about 8 months, and Iā€™m kinda salty that Iā€™m just now hearing about it because so far it seems Taylor made for me.
  16. Sammy and I went over to Louisville to see Stolen Faces from Nashville. It was a good time. They played tight but short jams which meant a ton of songs got played. I need to back off and give my foot time to heal before Summer but Iā€™ll have to start after next weekend because we are going up to Grateful Dead night at the Redwings on the 14th. Taking my sister and nieces who arenā€™t dead or hockey fans. Merry Christmas to them lol
  17. I took the boys and a buddy to New Orleans for Billy. We stayed in Tuscaloosa Thursday and had the whole city to ourselves because everyone was already in NO for the sugar bowl. We ended up going to the sugar bowl and was a cool way to spend the day. Left early due to Bama beatdown. Literally bumped right into Archie Manning outside his restaurant while looking over my shoulder trying to sneak out to the street for a toke šŸ¤£. We didnā€™t get to do much pokin around, but ate some good shit, and had a killer time. Broke my foot thanksgiving week and had been feeling pretty good but it was the size of a grapefruit again when I got home. Totally worth it. If you ask Luke the highlight was the 75,000 sq ft gas station Buc-eeā€™s that had killer brisket sandwiches and was kind of like a mix between a grocery store and a Bass Pro shop. Lol my friend told Luke heā€™d buy him a beaver hat but he had to wear it the whole trip so all my pics luke is wearing a bucee beaver toboggan with the pippy longstocking braids. He says Billy is kicking it to 3 nights next year but I donā€™t know where he saw it Also ran into AC both nights in NO but we somehow missed each other at the Pageant šŸ˜‚
  18. Wait, you mean some people have kids on purpose??? šŸ˜†šŸ¤£
  19. As long as I can use my boys as hired pack Mules Iā€™ll be GA. Lol. I mean why else did I have them? šŸ˜†šŸ¤£
  20. I got an email from venue saying if you are doing GA and camping in the bowl, no additional passes are needed. So it is only changing for car campers I guess
  21. I enjoyed JRaD when I went but was also dissatisfied with their sound. Was like I was listening with a hat pulled down over my ears. Was a killer show and I relistened to it and it was good, but the live sound was a bit of a letdown. Guess we are just spoiled
  22. I wonder if buying the car pass lets you drive down into the bowl and camp with vehicle? Or if by buying a car pass you are paying extra to camp in the lot atop the hill which would just seem silly to me.
  23. I almost fell over the rail in the balcony one year at the Ryman. Was a NYE with old crow medicine show. Balloons dropped and I about did too. People behind me had the look on their faces like they just witnessed someone almost die, which was in all likelihood the case.
  24. One of these years Iā€™ll get down there for Christmas jam. Always broke throughout December as I prep for Christmas and wherever we are headed for NYE. Itā€™s on my someday list though for sure
