  2. That Cincinnati show was Sammy’s little buddy’s first show with us and he sat in for Sam who couldn’t go. He knew a little dead but Sammy said he sang wang dang doodle for like a year straight every time he saw him after that 🤣🤣
  3. Hell yeah man. That’s cool as shit
  4. An 80 year old couple wanted to rekindle some excitement for their anniversary so the night before as they went to bed they made plans to show up for and eat breakfast naked. So they’re sitting there the next morning and the wife says, “this is really working, my nipples are as hot for you this morning as they’ve ever been” The old man looks up, then back down and says without missing a beat “that’s because one of them is in your oatmeal and the other is in your coffee.”

Luke was highly displeased we were not in attendance 😆🤣😆

    Cleveland

Yeah I wanna say we got a real old school show a handful of years back at the HoB in Cleveland. Was a buddy of mine’s first show. Then his second show was another old school show in Louisville. I guarantee no one in the history of dead/Darkstar fandom had gotten a “big boy Pete” at their first two shows. But he did. 😆🤣😆
  7. Such a good time, and awesome show. Loved that they had the sign language translators. I noticed about a few songs into the first and a few songs later i had a thought and I got to laughing and couldn’t stop. Told the boys that I was hoping for a lovelight with a down and dirty Rob B pigpen rant so I could watch and possibly record the sign language translation of “waking up to Woodrow Wilson and a box of tissues” 😆🤣

    Chicago

Set One: Feel Like A Stranger ; They Love Each Other > C. C. Rider ; Cumberland Blues ; Mama Tried > Mexicali Blues ; Althea ; Cassidy ; Loser ; Music Never Stopped Set Two: Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Playing In The Band > Terrapin Station > Drumz > Space > Not Fade Away > Black Peter > Around And Around > Johnny B. Goode Encore: U. S. Blues F. Love the one you’re with Musically the show was great. Good crowd energy too. Unfortunately I haven’t been that miserable in a venue maybe ever. Took forever to get in, No re-entry, no space anywhere, no smoking deck, set break was a panicked mess, had me feeling super claustrophobic, everyone was trying to get somewhere not knowing there was nowhere to for anyone go. Medical emergency cut “Playin” short to wait for ambulance evacuation (updated the gentleman was ok) Looking forward to getting outa town and back to familiar territory

Love that venue. Tons of space, everyone is always super cool. We got 1-11-79 no time for filler. Other one albeit a quick one was awesome as always. Band seemed to enjoy the venue, Rob E dedicated show to his pops who passed on 11/10 years ago
  10. What must all the states around me be so ass backwards? I’m never gonna get it and Illinois don’t count because I’d go broke smoking their stuff 😢
  11. It’s been awhile since I’ve been in an inside venue that’s a smoke em if ya got em show. Was a nice change of pace to fire doobs at will.
  12. Sending a big get well hug your way man.
  13. Man what a weekend of shows. No one told me the balcony was the spot to be. I never saw anyone floor level all weekend. 🤣Need to start asking for the scouting report before I buy tix to a venue for the first time. Lisa blew the roof off the place both nights. So many awesome jams, I think I’ll do a 3 pack next weekend. See (some of) you in Brown county. My buddy kept saying “I don’t think you liked it as much as I did, that shit blew my mind, dear prudence has never been played better than that” 🤣 I think he’s starting to “get it” I said Why do you think I see them as often as I do, because I love driving, gas station food, and buying expensive gas? 😆🤣
  14. Jeff Beck had Jonny Depp with him. That part was less than ideal, but it sure did sell the tix. I haven’t seen that Palace that full maybe ever. Packed show
  15. Luke and I are going to the Palace to see Jeff Beck tonight. Seeing JB on the old crossroads festivals on PBS was one of the very first things I remember Luke being interested in musically when he was little. The year he played with that Tal Willenfield (that’s a totally butchered spelling of her name most likely) blew his mind and started him down a great guitar player rabbit hole that led to his encyclopedic knowledge on the subject. To the point every time Rolling Stone releases a top 50 guitar players of all time he takes their discretions personal.
  16. Website says brown county music center Nashville TN tho so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking aboot 😆🤣
  17. That brown county venue is a nice little spot in the forestry. Saw Bobby and wolf bros there. Seated but didn’t hassle you for dancing in the aisles. Will try and add that to Chicago/St. Louis trip

    Football

Seahawks won their super bowl beating Russ week one. May not win another game all year. My Russ MVP bet ain’t lookin so hot, but my Jalen Hurts one might be 🔥🔥
  19. Oh man sorry to hear. Hugs to you and the family.
  20. Whew. Glad it wasn’t just us. Hope your right. In my experience messages like that means we got screwed by the bots/scalpers. 🤣🤣🤣
  21. Did the bots get all the Chicago tix? Luke says he’s been getting a loading screen the last hour, says wait while we search for available tix. I tried and got the same
  22. Chicago/st Louis are happening. Milwaukee is a solid maybe (probably)
  23. I would love to do the chi town St. Louis weekend double, but Chicago is a pain in the ass travel wise for me. I’ve never seen DSO in Chicago because I have typically avoid the city the last 15 years due to cost and just being shitty to get around in general
  24. Last night we rolled 4 deep into Lucas oils for the colts owner Jim Irsay band show. He had his collection of artifacts on display which include Tiger, Dylan’s famous Newport folk fest guitar, and David Gilmore’s black strat which actually got played even after he spent nearly $4M on it. Mike mills from REM, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ann Wilson did about 30 minutes of zeppelin. Then at the end, Indiana Royalty Jonny Cougar Mellencamp came out which was awesome because Luke hates him but Indiana llooooooooooooves him. I laughed so hard I cried. He was smokin heaters the entire 1.5 song performance. If you have the chance to view that collection, it’s unbelievable. Not just music stuff sports like Ali’s belt from rumble in the jungle and Jackie robinson’s bat, along with letters from Lincoln and Washington and traditional history stuff
  25. Me and Luke did the Alpine run for Phish. I hadn’t been to AV since the Terrapin family reunion In like ‘04. Stayed in Milwaukee. Ate too much fried cheese. Any more than 3 days my heart may have gave out. 🤣😆
