We had to have gotten on the bus right about the same time because I think that may have been around my 3rd show after Egyptian Room (my 1st) and Bogarts (boys 1st) of that year. It may be my favorite show. Definitely the most unique. Lisa sang chimes and brought down the house. I hung in the balcony with my cousin and my Uncle who has since passed. Good times great show

https://www.darkstarorchestra.net/tour-dates/ not sure if this is helping or not but see if you can get where you need to be thru here. -
That was definitely the last one I remember

I thought he was full of shit when he kept saying he knew the show and I should too. But he wouldnāt tell me. He wanted me to hear the Louie Louie but I kept bugging him and he broke during setbreak and told me. Lol. Every year we talk about getting the Louie Louie show in Louisville and this year was the first time they drove to the show on their own so we didnāt bring it up also Saturday happened to be lukes 40th show

Man what a show. Dance party USA. Love the early Eyes and Lucy, that whole 2nd set gave no breaks. Ran into my High School pot dealer who I hadnāt seen in 25 years probably. Hugged like a long lost brother šš¤£ he had his 8 year old daughter with him and it was just such a great weekend even with the short set fri night. Also like 90% sure I saw a cousin who I didnāt know was a deadhead with her kids too. That shit has to be in our blood at some level. I have too many distant relatives that are heads. Only 90% because the more enhanced I am the less confident I am in my ability to recognize faces. So if you wver see me staring at you with a stupid look on my face itās because Iām trying to decide if we know each other or you just slightly resemble (sometimes not at all) someone I know. *Lisa bout took me out with that HMT what a freakin weekend man. āļø

Iām hoping weather cooperates. š¤ no lightningš¤ My buddy who isnāt really a deadhead is going. When his boy was little I let him have a bandana of mine. Heās 12 now and my buddy says he sees him wearing that bandana in the yard he knows heās listening to the dead. šš¤£ Tonight he is taking his boy to the show.

Only the front sections are covered unless theyāve extended the roof since last time I was there.

Iroquois is ok venue but trading in a wide open lawn for a fully seated amphitheater is less than ideal. Not to mention I have a ton of people going who all bought tickets for different areas. I knew it wouldnāt have been a problem on the river but at IQ we will definitely be fighting security to cross sections and sit together. Kinda turned my excitement into stress and uncomfortableness lol Stupid Louisville did this to Bobby in the 90ās, bumped him from the Louisville Palace to the basement bar stage of some pool hall. He didnāt come back to Louisville for like 10-15 years after that

Looks like we got bumped off the river to Iroquois Amphitheater. Maybe due to all the rain?

How the F did I leave the Dew out? Iāll carry that shame for the rest of my days. š¤£š

I did the Aces back to back fest near legend valley. Ekoostik Hookah Thursday, Hyryder and Rumpke Mountain Boys fri and sat with them even playing a joint set Saturday. Hyryder tried to kill me with the 2nd set Friday night Mighty high, Eyes, Viola Lee, Darkstar, wharf rat Darkstar truckin Chinatown shuffle. I may be missing one or two still in there. The joint set had a cover of Isis that was one of my highlights of the weekend and Rumpke capped the weekend off with an electric set featuring Steve Sweeney that was just raunchy mind blowing stuff. Boys couldnāt go and it was a spur of the moment solo dad trip and I made the most of that shit.

So happy for little man. Thatās some feather in cap stuff right there. Heās off and running to a good start. Enjoy tonightās freedom. Lol

You donāt even realize youāre dancing to āLetās hear it for the boysā at 8:30 AM ona Saturday until you see all the people in the grocery store staring at you. š¤¦š» -
Maybe for the premium section up front. I didnāt have one.

They came back out and played the weight. I listened to stream from Drums thru the end.

I think you can buy single GA lawn tix now also if you donāt find a pod spot

When you get better sleep in a tent on the lot than you do at home. Even in 45 degrees and rain, jubilation weekend I got the best nights sleep Iāve had in the last year and a half. I think they need to make one of those sleep apps but instead of rainforests noise I want one with ālot noiseā Bongo drum neighbors, nitrous tank off in the distance, drunk stoner girls talking about crystals, man Iād sleep like a baby. -
Summer tour announcement coming soon?
Dead duck replied to Dead duck's topic in Tour Information Hub
I have noticed last few times Iāve gone thru presales I end up with undesirable seats. I guess when you are excited enough to be one of the first to buy tickets, but also so poor that you only search the cheapest option, you get stuck outside the speakers. š¤£šš¤£ When I bought Bobby and Wolf Bros tix thru presale at the palace I could touch the ceiling from my seat. I did Saturday Billy show from way in the back. Sound was good from wherever. only time Iāll know what premium anything feels like is if I win it in a contest or giveaway šš¤£ -
I assume there will be dates dropping soon because I just got an email about an upcoming 2 day stand at waterfront park in Louisville mid july
-
I wish they had some sort of camping for Billy at LV. Iām hitting those as well as the Garfield park show.
-
Good god man. That is a tasty sandwich there in the 2nd.

A lot of people I ran into at the lodge were seeing DSO for the first time. It was so awesome getting to hear back from them after the show(s). After theyād had their minds blown.
-
Wow thanks for the support everyone šš¤£š¤£ I however will likely go full marathon and drive back some time after music Friday and return to the valley post ceremony Saturday afternoon to satisfy all involved all the while ignoring the fact that Iām too stubborn/selfish to sell tix and miss the shows š

Man it definitely was an awesome weekend. Lukeās schools tried to ruin it emailing that graduation is gonna be Jubilation Saturday putting me in quite the predicament. My boy says he aināt missing 2 awesome days of music for a virtual graduation but his momma (my ex and non deadhead) says sheās watching that baby walk across a stage on graduation day So my only option as I see it as a mature responsible adult is to attempt to get DSO to announce my boy as a graduate and let him walk across the stage in his cap and gown pre show or between bands so I can send videos to the family. Win win win everyone happy. šš¤£
