78/01/17  Sacramento Memorial Auditorium,  Sacramento, CA

Promised Land, Dire Wolf, Cassidy, Loser, Looks Like Rain,

Row Jimmy, Minglewood, Must Have Been the Roses,

Music Never Stopped.

Bertha>Good Lovin', Candyman, Estimated Prophet,

He's Gone>Drums>Other One, Black Peter,

Truckin'>Around and Around.

E:  US Blues

F:  Piece of My Heart.

Full strength band slays recreation to the delight of

veterans and rookies alike.  Bob selections had some

traction, MNS a first set close OK in my book.

Business picked up after intermission, opening duo

a romp, Candyman dreamy, Other One touched the Star.

among others in epic journey void of the final verse,

Pete a pindropper.  I dig the late Truckin' and attached

to Round a fine close.  Lisa shined brightly on Piece.

I spent the evening with dear friends, I love you all.

Praise DSO.

The gang came out with a smoking Promised Land knocking the dust off the rafters at XL Live.  Cassidy had a real funky beat.  Bertha>Good Lovin' is always a burner.  Truckin was played with poise and intensity right into Around and Around which definitely had the joint jumping.  US Blues kept the crowd in a frenzy.  My first time hearing Piece of my Heart...Wow very impressive.  Good to see Rob B. back on stage.

Yea, I don’t recall ever seeing a second set Candyman on any set list before. Being Deadbase free really drags out the suspense.

Being Deadbase-free myself, I'm still gonna guess that the bulk of these 2nd-setters happened in 1976 + 1977.  Could be wrong.....

Isn’t a second set Candyman a rarity?

lol. John beat me to it after searching deadbase. In 76 it was fairly common set 2 but after 76 it was only played 1 time again in set 2 7–7-81

The people that put out deadbase also have an app. It's 5 or 6 bucks. https://deadshowz.com/

It's a solid app. I did beta testing for it, although I ironically don't have it due to all the beta versions timing out. But I definitely recommend it.

Technically Stu Nixon is the only original DeadBase collaborator that is involved. John Scott, the main force behind Deadbase (he did all the programming) dropped off the grid some years ago and the software vanished along with him. It's a crime to pedantic Deadhead humanity that the print version can't be revised with the hundreds of updates and corrections that have surfaced since Jerry left us. That's why Deadbase 50 is such a let down.
