  1. 1976 is one of my favorite era's that DSO does - glad they decided to kick things off with an Orpheum 76 show . So dancy, with some jazzy flair. First set highlights were the 1/2 Step, Crazy Fingers, Let It Grow. 2nd set had all I needed! In your face, delicate, pleading, blissy, sorrowful, hopeful, and energetically-tight. Up in the balcony and save for navigating some steps here and there, it was excellent dancing space from the jump. What made this night the most special was getting to share this show with my brother! His first DSO show! He was expecting it to be good from my rave reviews of the past but he confessed he had no idea it would be quite so polished. Getting to hang with him along with some excellent, wonderful, kind people just made it that much more special! What a way to kick things off
  2. Like it was written in my soul.... Still processing these shows but the arc of this one was simply breathtaking. The Dylan-fest was what I wanted and needed

  6. A wife is sitting at her husband’s funeral. A man leans in and asks, “Do you mind if I say a word?” “No, go right ahead”, the woman replies. The man stands, clears his throat, says “Plethora”, and sits back down. “Thanks”, the woman says, “that means a lot”
  7. PoPo canine be like: We be like: There was a couple who got escorted out by some guys in tie-dyes and definitely more cops and security than before. Way more in fact. It did seem like overkill....

  9. Not sure I could describe it any better than PG did - WOW! For me it was straight-up Magic. So many people dancing, weaving, jumping, hoping, bouncing, spinning, prancing, strutting, skipping, shaking, sliding, swaying, and loving! The music and environment were right there with the very best of times for me. Black Throated wind was my slingshot to Mars but it's hard for me not to say the whole night was a highlight. Deep Elem, Peggy-O, wicked Jack Straw and the Let it Rock just blew me apart - a sweaty mess, everything soaked through. The Music to open the 2nd set was a ridiculously-perfect start and everything that came after seemed to fit together perfectly. Man - that dear prudence was something to behold! So many musical themes in there with a purely psychedelic root. Just PURE synchronicity from start to finish. I got to fill my cup even though it's not easy to do when it's poured with a fire-hose ! I'm towards the back in a Detroit Tigers navy cap and glasses - in front of that mountain of a man in a cowboy hat ! Can't wait for Colorado !!!!!
  10. Yes, please! Then we can say "Never miss a Sunday Pisgah show!"
