  2. “Becoming Led Zeppelin” is worth the watch. They really carved their own path!
  3. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The spirit of shirking off the status quo in the face of creativity is everything! A fascination with the Beatnik movement and how it impacted American culture to normalize the freedoms we inherently should embrace and throw off the prejudices and fear of Puritanical morays made me the person I am. Robert Hunter, the Grateful Dead and others like Dylan fomented this movement and gave its voice. Dylan had his finger on the pulse of it all, voiced it and struggled alone with his genius, I think, trying to reconcile the complexity of our culture and the impact of what he saw, how he was received and where it went from there. Ah, the tortured artist…

  11. She played the harmonica down and dirty for the Milwaukee Easy Wind encore. That song I recorded and have been enjoyably sharing with friends
  12. The wait is finally over! Never an instance where I setup camp in a better mood than at Jubilee - let's hope everyone gets their Jubilee residence just exactly perfect. Speaking of perfect: That Weather Report? SUITE! A brisk Friday and chilly overnights but you gotta take that weather forecast all day long. No downpours, no humidity, no getting cooked outta your tent. Late nights sets will be cold, but I'm guessing heads all empty and you won't care Friday - Partly Cloudy, Breezy H: 63 L: 44 Saturday - Partly Sunny H: 70 L: 42 Sunday - Partly Sunny H: 70 L: 46 Will be watching and listening on Nugs. It sure ain't Jubilee but I'll get my DSO jolt next weekend! Have a magical Jubilee everyone ❤️
  13. With an rv pass would be nice as well
  14. For shits and giggles I looked up the difference between VIP and Super VIP. It's gotta hurt to pay the VIP premium only to be standing behind folks who paid a bigger VIP premium. Or use an upgraded bathroom only to see others go into the luxury trailer bathrooms. Nothing worse than the VIP loser. 😂
  15. Last week
  16. Thanks for heads up! Surprise me lol.
  17. I have successfully made it to Indianapolis in my RVs maiden voyage. Family flies in late tonight then drive towards buckeye lake. Sleep at a Walmart for a bit. We need some last minute supplies. Also will need a market. I do not due meat from Walmart. Then get in line for Jubilee. Just a heads up. Skip plays in the New Gypsy Cowboys and they open the weekend off at 345 Friday. I’m gonna try to make it down there for the set.
  18. The camping trip plus jgb axial tilt plus the first two day openers ( big on lady’s list) are the real draw we will be coming off 5/6 mid July Dso shows. After the early August trip we going to look at properties in Costa Rica Jamaica maybe even El Salvador
  19. One of the greatest deadheads ever, Jim Irsay, died today. He shared his love of the dead by buying Jerry’s tiger guitar and keeping it locked up in his vault that included 100’s of thousands of percocets and various booze. He shared the view of the vault with hedge fund guys and other bankers. He was a regular guy who’d drive himself while drunk not wanting to be like normal billionaires who have Chauffeurs drive them when drunk. He’s a one of a kind that will be missed by tens of people.
  20. We may do this. We traveling in RV most of summer. Head up northern coast of California into Oregon after.
  21. Will they live stream that dude who always tries to sell exotic animals by the pines during the late night sets?
  22. He loved the fans, I remember hanging in the parking lot (was that Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach) it was hours before the show and he came out and chatted with us for a bit. RIP, he was one of the good guys.
  23. I’m looking forward to another Jubilee. I’ve only missed the first and 6th I think. Made 3 grateful fests at the Ledges. I love this venue, the vibe, and the people I have met there over the years. I see them once a year and it’s always an absolute pleasure to be able to spend a small snippet of time with them. I first saw DSO in August 2001, since then I’ve been to…in excess of 150 shows and they never fail to impress upon me the incredible skills of the musicians. They’ve changed the musicians over the years, but the spirit of, and the quality the music has remained constant. Higher power willing I’ll get to make the pilgrimage to Thornville many more times.
  24. Don't shoot the messenger! Not everyone's cup of Tea but some folks are pretty stoked. BillyK will not be performing: 3-Day VIP ticket is 1,725 3-Day Super VIP is 6,346 3-Day GA is 635 Single GA is 245 I wouldn't mind streaming the Billy Strings set........
  25. ....for those that can't make it to Jubilee, Nugs will begin a Livestream at 430p on 5/23.
