  1. I am at Dillon and pretty scrambled, that performance was nailed. Lifeโ€™s journey on every song. We had a fantastic group behind soundboard center that was up to the task. Love you all. Praise DSO.

  2. 73 set 1. 69 set 2. Freaking awesome. Wish was there live but streamed it while sitting on the porch listening to the waves crash.

  3. Tuned in for all of set 2 on my big audio system and 65" TV. Needed a bigger TV. ๐Ÿ˜€ The sound was better than respectable, and the video quality was stellar. But moreover, the video production was sensational. Whoever directed that video feed was nailing it! Expense was not spared... That set list wasn't created casually. DSO clearly understood they were (a) at freaking Red Rocks, and (b) putting serious resources into a free stream. The list reads like a GD tour de force, and the performance was definitely up to snuff. I love how they slowed things way down and got nice and quiet for some of those second set transitions. Also of note - the show seemed to be gradually going backwards in time. Started with a decided '73 flair, moved into the early 70s at the start of set 2, then dipped deeper and deeper into the 60s as set 2 unfolded. Great stuff! The only thing missing was a Bid You Goodnight after Viola Lee, which I bet would have happened had they not run out of time.

E: Ripple Scenic venue, Great weather. A nice bow for the CO shows. I would say any hurt feelings between Jk and the band have mended. All musician appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. 8. This was the first of 2 nights at the Roanoke civic center. My transmission took a shit on the side of the highway on the way to these shows. We hitched on to the shows and left the car. Glad we did. Both of these shows smoked! The crazy fingers from night 2 lingers in my mind as the best I saw. Went back to the gas station I left the car at a week or so later hoping to get about $500 for the car. After some hard core negotiations I accepted the gas station owners offer of $50. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  9. July 7, 1987 was Roanoke, Virginia. Interesting list, West LA set 2 opener. Apparently a very small venue. https://gratefuldeadoftheday.com/07-07-1987
