I don’t mind knowing the show but I’ll never look at the set list. Don’t wanna know what’s played. Cotter needs to channel his inner Healy on these. My only qualm is Dso doesn’t mess with the sound like the dead did mid 80’s. Saw Dso do the summer 85 riverbend show without any of the crazy delay that Healy did on GSET. Gimmick or not it’s not really an era recreation without taking the good with the bad and make that shit echo and on those other ones, give Eaton the demon voice. Demon voice!!! If you were dosed in the 80s which was a 90%+ certainty, those effects would send you to space. Saw the 1st deadco tour train wreck when they still played normal tempo in 2015 Fall and during west LA fadeaway they added some delay that made me almost lose my shit. Had to shake my head to come back.

Thanks Ron or whoever for getting this back up. Just the other day was reading some 5yr old posts. Brought back lots of memories. Lots of good stuff on here.

saw them in Nashville in a wide open pit in 2001/2002. Got free tix from the radio station I worked at. The 1st 20 feet of the pit was a violent thrashing bloody mess but right behind it was awesome. Tix were $25. Tix for this tour Nashville were $200-300 and said screw that. Shits stupid now.

my 2nd Dso show was an acoustic Bloomington IN show in 2013 and got one. It was the only accoustic show I’ve seen. The caverns accoustic were cancelled. I do remember DSO bantering with each other and with the crowd all show which I didn’t even know was rare at the time. Me and a buddy were the only ones standing up by the rail in the pit and Eaton tells everyone to move up front into the pit as everyone else was seated.

We were listening to the 1980 radio City acoustic sets and Mei said did they play operator. So I look and am like no. So grab deadbase and evidently I’ve never really thought about operator. Dead only played it 4x ever and in 1970. Looking back I have only seen Dso play it 2x as they play it 1-2x maybe a year. Never thought about it really. Sorta weird when you research so many songs never really thought much about operator.

Hyryder streams all their show SBDs. When home they provide live dead. They all smile and dance while playing. They are a feel good tribute. If Dso streamed every show, we’d be watching Dso of course. There are a lot on forums who dig Hyryders style. We see 3 other forum peeps at their shows when we attend. It’s 4 hours away. We never miss DSO within 6-8 hours live but I’m sure you are seeing local dead with a new baby. Can’t always hop a flight for dso

Luckily it’s just the rich heads going b/c the 105 degree days would cause that place to stink if 20k heads in the 90’s. Worst time of year to have shows in Vegas. if you don’t know, if you have ever gambled at a Caesar’s resort or one of the other chains, you can get a free hotel besides the $30 a day resort fees. This time of year is so dirt cheap that even if you can’t get a free room you can get one for $60 including resort fees at a nice spot. June/July is dead season there for a reason.

I’d need 2 RFK shows. If you’re gonna do it, do it up!!!! You could prob get the football stadium for like 500k a day. You’d only need to sell 25k tix at $100 each to make it work. All you gotta do is book the place and make sure DSO is available and toss them 50k in advance to hold the dates. If you got a million cash you should be able to put it on!!! And you should likely edit out the balloon part or Eaton won’t be a part of it.

FYI be careful with peeps who have 0 posts trying to sell you tix. Facebook is 99% scammers who pretend to have extra tix. This forum isn’t like that as we can ban scammers but they have popped up here once in a while. I suggest setting a notification on CashorTrade if someone has tix for sale and do an ISO post. I’ve never been shut out yet of any show using CashorTrade.

when we did DSO’s west coast summer run we popped it to the next town post show. No way I was driving sandiego to LA during the day unless I wanted to be in a few hours of stand still traffic. It was actually a really fun drive. Popped a Jerry band as is our post show driving tradition and took off.

It was that place where we had the whole front row left and the security lady told anyone trying to dance there it was our area even though was GA and made them leave. It was also where I got tinnitus in my left ear with a speaker blaring a foot away for hours. The ringing has become pretty mild now but for a month it was oppressive. Luckily it didn’t affect my hearing besides even now hearing the slight ringing.

That was the worst loss I’ve seen. McCarthy is done. Even if the offense wasn’t trash the defense allowed 6 TDs on 7 drives. It’s funny but the pick 6 actually helped Dallas. It was 3rd down with 2 mins left. A punt or int and tackle would have let Green Bay run the clock and possibly score. Getting the ball back let Dallas score to end the half. The defense of Dallas killed us every loss. We let a winless Arizona score 5 straight to start. 49ers had 4 TDS on 1st 5 possessions. Eagles 4tds on 1st 6 and Green Bay was the worst allowing 6 TDs on 7 drives. There was this nonsense talk about how our defense was so amazing. It sucks. I had Aaron jones over 74.5 rushing in 4 parlays and straight bets I thought it was such a lock. And Dallas evidently plays cover 3 zone for the 1st time all year and let 2 guys be completely uncovered for mega gains. Pathetic.

The LSU team from a few years ago has like 10 pro bowlers. That team had around 10 1st round picks. It would be the stupid best team. After the national championship you had 14 drafted. So assume they stayed together it would be like an NFL team had the number 1 overall pick then had 4 other 1st rounders in 1 year and that’s just the year after the national champ. Jefferson wasn’t even eligible to be drafted yet. Stingley was a freshman. That team had like 30 people drafted over several years. Right now they would be the best team in the NFL hands down if you could keep LSU 2019/20 team together. The secondary would be ridiculous. Clyde Edwards helkaire at RB. The DL would be an all star line. My point was if you could keep a college team together and call them a new NFL franchise, they would be the best in the NFL right now 4 years later.

Good lord have you guys seen any of the new SEC schedules with no divisions. Florida opens with Miami and A&M then plays a 7 game stretch to end the year of Tennessee Kentucky Georgia texas LSU ole miss florida st WOW. Note they will have a new coach after the year b/c he’s gonna be lucky to be 6-6. Hell they may actually be a solid team and go 6-6. That last 5 game stretch can be an easy 0-5. Florida may want to rethink playing Miami and Florida state on top of the even more brutal SEC schedule with Texas and Oklahoma. Think they have 7 of the top 13 preseason AP ranked teams in the SEC. The conference is gonna shred each other. I like it. Will be more like the NFL.

when Florida won those couple basketball championships in the 2000’s no Kentucky fan was rooting for them to win. Unlike you with football Kentucky has no real standing in that sport but in hoops we don’t want our enemies to win it all. If I was an auburn football fan I’d definitely have rooted for Michigan but having no real dog in that hunt, I’ve admired how saban has run that team and even in years Georgia was better got their goat in the sec champ game. Best coach of our generation and doubt there would even be a debate. After the Texas loss with no real QB somehow they turn the season around and start cashing against the spread weekly. KY went legal gambling right when Dallas, Alabama and Michigan were covering the spreads at an 80% clip. So lucky on that timing. Betting Ohio state has been my Achilles heel. We had a bookie the year they started 0-6 ATS and kept thinking this time this time. I’m gonna miss college football betting. My fav sport to watch and bet.
