Obama's First Year

How would you grade it? I will give him a C so far. Pretty much the same old same old in the foreign policy department. The economy is still struggling and I don't agree with the stimulus spending, but he still needs a little more time before proclaiming it a failure. His healthcare plan is probably going to end up being watered down to the point that nobody is happy with it. I would say so far that he talks a good game but doesn't deliver. He needs to have a good run this year or he is going to lose a lot of his congressional advantage.

He's a politician... he's got lobbyists in his pocket.... YUP, SAME OLD SAME OLD! Time for an independent candidate.

Stop spending so much fucking money already Obama. My future grandkids won't even be able to pay this debt off. The U.S. Dollar is gonna be worth jack shit.

As far as a grade goes... a C sounds about right.

If nothing else, health care will be his crowning achievment; an impressive feat to insure millions of Americans who have never had health insurance.

I have not been overwhelmed with any ideas that have come from the other side on health care, economic growth, unemployment, foreighn policy, etc.

Face it Obama could not have inherited a worse situation and done well under the circumstances.

The problem is, he claimed to be the guy to fix the problem and he can't. No delivery on the promise. I don't blame him, all I am saying is that if McCain had been elected, I would expect things to look very similar. This is not real change, he is just like the rest. Our government has got to be the most inefficient business in the world :(

This could easily run into a ramble or a rant so I will simply give a grade: D+. Thats the grade we get at Georgetown if we deserve an F, but passing you is an easier option for both parties involved. No parents, no paperwork, no probation, no dean involvement, and no grade dispute. My grade is so low because of the high expectations I had. The peace prize is a sham, if he cares at all about peace he would bring are men and women home. The health care bill and his fight for health care have become a way for him to cover up the fact that the economy is still struggling and the war has become completely forgotten news. Still, Americans die. Granted, it has only been one year; Obama has time to fix these things and the real grade comes in a little less than 3 years when we get to cast judgment over Obama again. Until then, he is free to spend away the future of this country and worry more about his political image than helping anyone. Sorry, I know I am ranting; I am just not happy with the direction the American gov't - both Democrats and Republicans - have been trying and in some degree succeeding, in directing America. It is about time we get a gov't that cares about protecting and respecting all Americans and their individual rights. If not, we should probably realize we can live without gov't all together and we can take care of one another if were willing to reject commercialism and the currently accepted status system we have in America. I won't post on this again. Sorry for the rant.

I want to know how I'm supposed to afford the manditory Health Care, because if I don't, apparently I'll be fined $3000+....

I voted for him, but he really hasn't done much at all this first year...

That little bit of legislation is going to be in Federal court for a long time...
