  1. In case anyone missed this show > sick! Having said that, the setlist is missing Fire on the Mountain after Scarlet which was VERY sick! The Scarlet> Fire was my favorite part of the 2 shows I saw. I missed the 2nd Philly show...DSO didn't miss a beat after 7 months of not playing...Thanks DSO for making it happen. Love you guys/gal! ( and crew )

  2. Hyryder was a blessed reprieve from the end of live music for us since March 4. Sweet freedom. I needed to dance terribly. It is my first love!! Loosen the stillness and meditate in motion. Pure joy! Flight was a snap and uncrowded airport. It was a reunion a year coming; last time we all danced was Boulder/ Red Rocks with DSO. Wahoo! Hyryder is a tight band with a decidedly psychedelic bent to their interpretation. I've been listening to a lot of psych rock of late; latest is Rose City Band. Good sound with space to dance. Lots of Pigpen these two shows, though I haven't a show of theirs to compare it to. Ripping Cream Puff War. I'm a Hog for you, Baby. Good Lovin 4/25/71 style. High Time was so sweet. First night 2nd set had an origami of Alligator>Schoolgirl> Estimated> Lovelight>Viola. I unfolded with it. lol. I met Ammagamalin Crew second night. Good to know you, buddy!

  3. So great. Band played fantastic. fOTd, Chiba/rider, shakedown highlights for me. Once I got my sound Siituated, lift off was achieved. Kudos to the band for Being able to connect in unusual circumstances. Something wrong with Barraco voice????? Lisa on stage for 80’s show? Skipped far from me in 1st set. Barraco hardly sang a note. Love the amount of dancing space. Car speakers and good positioning Allowed me to completely Tune out groups of annoying talkers on both sides of me. Nice option not afforded in traditional spaces. Two groups of young people more interested in selfies and showing that they’re at a concert as opposed to actually being present at a concert. Annoying. bYO is a great thing! so good to dance again and dance I did! Gorgeous night. Perfect weather. Pretty moon.

  4. and we are now electric scooter people. I was told electric bikes are even better. Next I’ll be buying a Tesla running out of juice on a rural interstate and the troopers tell me they don’t like my kind of car and I end up crushed with it in a rural salvage yard never to be seen again, and all from scooters. Late night buzzed scooter riding is fun. Just make sure you look for curbs.

  5. Roseland Drive-In 9/4/20 Cold Rain and Snow Cassidy Dire Wolf Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues New Minglewood Blues Jack-a-roe Looks Like Rain Blow Away Bird Song The Music Never Stopped Help on the Way > Slipknot!> Franklin’s Tower Man Smart, Women Smarter Mission in the Rain Drums Space Spanish Jam> Throwing Stones> Morning Dew Satisfaction Sunrise New Speedway Boogie> Nobody’s Fault But Mine> New Speedway Boogie Johnny B. Goode I might have some of the first set mixed up, couldn’t remember the order. It was really good to get out and see the band, they sounded wonderful, they sounded fired up and delivered an amazing performance of every song. No rust on these guys at all considering their last show was in February. Cold Rain and Snow felt so good 🥰. Looks Like Rain and Bird Song were highlights. Help>Slip>Franklin’s found my tender feet begging for mercy, after battering them the entire first set after not seeing a show since November. Mission in the Rain brought on a downpour of light rain, with the crew scrambling to cover stuff up. Throwing Stones was delivered with heartfelt conviction, Morning Dew was perfect. Satisfaction ended with Eaton talking about everyone’s duty to vote, to which Barraco brilliantly interjected as Pigpen “...or you ain’t gonna get no satisfaction.” Sounded great with the Pigpen vocals on there in Satisfaction. Extended encore set, Nobody’s Fault was cool to sneak into New Speedway and smoothly back out, with the band laying out one more fast one at the end on Johnny B. Goode. This venue was good, it felt like a real show, not watered down in the least bit. The event was run really well, people were mostly good about social distancing, but the venue allowed for ample space for people to be out and dancing, and I left everything I could out there pounded into the gravel, it felt so good to dance again❤️❤️

  8. Yea, the moon rising flashed me back to JFK Stadium’89 when Jerry was singing Standing on the Moon and sung, ‘right up there on that crescent’, while pointing at it. The Wells Fargo center sits on that spot now. It. Was weird to not see the Spectrum and to have the band set upon what was once Vets Stadium. That area and parking lots are some hallowed ground. I’ve seen 26 of the 53 shows the Grateful Dead played at the Spectrum, ‘87 and ‘89 JFK, Saw The Dead at the Spectrum, Dead and company at Wells Fargo. So many memories all the way back to day one, forty years ago just this past week. So nice to have Dark Star Orchestra play the parking lot there, recycling the energy. So nice and exciting that I ended up overdancing, had too much too fast, forced to sit out the second night. After all these years, I still can’t help myself when I hear the music live. .... I lose my self control. That’s what love is, baby....That’s what love will make you do.

  9. Yes, nice job Hardpan. It felt so good to read a review, comments. Even better to hear that all went well, no rust. Original or elective? I’m glad you got mission in the rain, sorry we won’t in Philly. Again, nice report, looking forward to tonight in Philly.
