  1. I apologize in advance for spamming ya'll with personal stuff but what are friends for? My eldest son has been playing competitive ultimate frisbee since middle school. He made the high school team coming out of Covid and it's been a wild ride ever since. He and his teams' hard work and sacrifice paid off with the Jordan Dirty Birds recently winning back-to-back NC State Championships! They also finished in the top 5 at the High School National Championship last June. I'm so happy for the team and what the experience has done for my son. Ultimate frisbee is an amazing sport and abound with lessons about competition, unity, and mutual respect. To give everyone an idea of the level of competition, here's a quick-cut video of the Dirty Birds in action from the Southeastern US tournament (which the Dirty Birds won šŸ˜Ž) created by one of my sons teammates. I suggested that this video be accompanied by a Grateful Dead soundtrack but was swiftly vetoed: OK - Spam is over! Thanks for indulging me even if you didn't have a choice 😁 Stay DIRTY my friends 🦩

  2. An 80 year old couple wanted to rekindle some excitement for their anniversary so the night before as they went to bed they made plans to show up for and eat breakfast naked. So they’re sitting there the next morning and the wife says, ā€œthis is really working, my nipples are as hot for you this morning as they’ve ever beenā€ The old man looks up, then back down and says without missing a beat ā€œthat’s because one of them is in your oatmeal and the other is in your coffee.ā€

  3. Entire show just exactly perfect. The 77 energy/sound fantastically woven into the list. Had a great crew and adequate space to really dial in the dance energy. Our band really delivers the goods, the show journey never gets old. A lovely evening was had. Praise DSO.

  6. I was just thinking about the struggle when they left chicago and hit the road for several years playing before very small crowds. They crashed on peoples couches in towns and struggled to put gas in the tank. They had a dream to play Grateful Dead and it took years to build it up where they could make a bit of money. I’ve been to several 50-100 people shows and know people like Chuck have been to shows with 10 people or less way back in the day. I’m sure there were times they thought about hanging it up but kept on and now take care of their families touring. It’s nice they have runs like Jamaica where they can make their nut. I like it for the band when they sell out 2000 people. I also enjoy it for myself when there are 300 peeps but that won’t pay their bills. Cheers DSO. Here’s to another 25. In 16 years maybe my little guy takes off with some buddies for a summer tour. Prob he will chase skirts at EDM fests which seem to be very visually appealing. Well I don’t think you could call it chasing skirts b/c girls don’t wear that much clothing. Maybe chasing thongs would be more accurate at EDM shows.
