Jesus Christ, man. Eleven shows and this is all you have to say. Are you under a restraining or gag order? I mean, I could understand if that’s the case, and the ankle bracelet must have a pretty long range then. Tell Albany I say hey, please. Love you, buddy!! 😃🕺🏼🕺🏼

I’m in stealth mode these days. But I could file an after-action report.

Seems like the FL dream could come true this time. My hiatus has been too long.

It has been fun doing what I do best, which is following tours vicariously while waiting for them to light the Spark out west. Thanks to all the intrepid reporters!

How to book premium economy class ticket with Air Canada

She seems sweet and genuinely helpful. Maybe she can carry the Hotel DSO torch for Looky. -
Let me work on my list too. I may have to adjust the dates of my early ones from AUC to A.D./CE. That last is different from AC/DC. I’ve only seen them twice and it has been a while. I will say they didn’t phone it in either.

Sadly, that’s a negative. Logistics, work, and family obligations put up resistance. I have hopes for weekends during the upcoming magnificent west coast tour.

Well, if this this was a Phil show then it really opens the doors. Maybe recreate some Terrapin Nation, or even select Dark Star Orchestra May 2007 shows from Rams Head.

If you had just a minute to breatheand they granted you one final wishwould you ask for something like another chance?

🙏 As sure as your sorrows are joys

Well, with this kind of encouragement I will eagerly await the triumphant return of the west coast tour and arrange my busy social calendar accordingly. One question, Rob. Will the rest of the band join in? Not that I would complain if it was just you and a kazoo out in the lot with 5 of us dancing around a drum circle without drums. I’m just asking for a friend.

Well, it took something like 18 months from initial teases to full blown breakout of The Eleven. I was a pretty constant fixture on the tour circuit back then. Coincidence? I think so. It’s been a long time since I did a full tour. Damn, in a lot of ways it seems like only a decade ago!

I'm in if they vow to finally break out Low Spark.

When I was much younger I liked to think I had wings a mile long. I came to realize that yep, this is about right.

“Felt my body move in ways that it never has before.” High praise from a man whose opinion I value highly. That’s how how I felt about old school Cornmeal. They were the other band I got on airplanes to go see. I think I need to check this young man out.

We could dig a quarry, fill it with sparkling clear cold water, put in a little sandy beach, have lots of nice trails with camp sites in the shade, and no motherfucking hill. But that does seem like a lot of work.

I know! It could be GratefulFest West! Or not.

How well I remember Camp You Are Here...

“She was definitely a knowledgeable deadhead in her mid 60s...” Seriously? How can anyone that old have anything approaching a working knowledge of a youth phenomenon like fun in general and music in particular?

I realize I have very little credibility here due to lack of show attendance in recent years. But as an original member of the Children of the Rugs, an attendee and dancer (such as it is) at a goodly number of shows over a goodly number of years, and an overall proud fan, I think I have a decent perspective of what works on this side of the rail. As far as DSO at festies goes, I speak as someone who saw a lot of GratefulFests as well as Jubilees up to two years ago, not to mention Mighty Highs during the band's tenure there. Sacrificing valuable dance turf to fire spinners who formerly were off to the side (stage right, I believe) is at best thoughtless in the true sense of the term. At worst it may be deemed, even if not intentionally meant that way, a comment on the relative worth of deeply devoted fans. In any event, it does not work. Neither do cigarettes. Nor do cell phones. Save it for Taylor Swift.

An empty void without easy access to porn or kittens. It was a hell of normal human interaction.

For the first several years of my DSO career I either traveled solo or with my LV buddy Eric and otherwise didn’t mingle much. I talked more to band and crew than I did to other fans. That began to change thanks to the earliest iteration of this forum. Through TR’s masterpiece here I came out of my shell and sought folks out. The first ones were Dr V, Looky, the Herd, and Scott. Then Doc, Teacher Matt, the China Cats, James, August West, Susan Angelina, Dr Barry, the Steves, Christophe, Blythe, Jordan, and it was off to the races. Mango, MC, SVT in all her incarnations, Man in Green, Hypnotist Collector, and so many more! Many shows and a couple of full tours later I’ve come full circle. I treasure those times more than words can tell. New ones come and old ones go, most can still be seen if you poke around, but Scott is the true constant. I owe a debt of thanks to so many here that can never be fully repaid. Scott embodies the best of the best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
