The new sensible concert model

With most Americans able to be fully vaccinated within a few months here’s my concert suggestion. 
 

1. have an open pit for people who are vaccinated and can provide proof and let us choose whether to wear a mask or not. 
 

2. Have pods for the people who refuse to do their civic duty or the few percent who are medically unable to get the vaccine. They can still see shows but they can do the stupid fucking pods. I’ll have my 2nd shot April 8th and don’t want to suffer any more because of the ones refusing to get vaccinated or are still sucking trumps dick even though that turd got secretly vaccinated because he knew they are safe and necessary but doesn’t give 2 fucks about anyone else so refused to really push a vaccination effort. 
 

I really just want more common sense. Last night if seated in our pod we didn’t have to wear a mask but if we stood in our pod we were required to put it on. We presented no more danger standing vs sitting. I got vaccinated to get us back to normal and we were told that once everyone could get vaccinated we could live normally again, but from future bookings it looks like this pod thing is the new normal. In western ky our regional vaccine site has unlimited walk in slots for anyone 16+ for the last 2 weeks. I guess that’s the benefit of being in a red state where people believe things like Hugo Chavez is running our election software and bill gates is using the vaccine to microchip or just still believe this is the Flu because of the turd in chief who was hospitalized and put on oxygen when he caught it even though he was the healthiest president ever said so. 
 

Covid could be eradicated but the selfish people will cause it to linger. We eradicated polio and many other diseases. But the whole country wanted that gone vs people who want the country to fail now and refuse to do their civic duty to get us back to normal by August. This could all end if not for the “stop the steal” turned “stop the vaccinations” people.

My gut tells me that there will be a critical mass, grass roots, uprising that will put an end to this lockdown. I don’t think that the government can or will let things go back to normal, at least not soon. People aren’t interested in another nonsummer. We’ll show them. ( ...there must be some kinda way outta here...) vaccines are happening fast, a lot of people have had COVID, some without knowing. This darkness got to give, no more sitting’ here in Limbo, comes a time, we will survive.

Sorry, my freedom doesn't come from getting a gene therapy shot for a "virus" that has a 99.98% survival rate.  I'll do what I please when I please, that's how non slaves operate.  I don't wear face diapers that don't protect you again viruses and it has nothing to do with Trump, it's called common sense.  If I feel sick or have the flu I don't go out to sporting events or concerts.  My immune system has worked my entire life and it will continue to do so without becoming a genetically modified human or a Bill Gates guinea pig, but to each their own.

the problem with covid is you don’t know you are infectious when you leave your house so you don’t know to stay away. Also bill Gates had 0 to do with any of these vaccines. He donated some cash to other companies but was not involved with moderna and Pfizer.

I'm going to agree with Billy Delyon, although this is a DSO forum and not an vaccination forum.  I got the "you are being selfish" from my brother in law and was taken aback at how people are being programmed to use this attack on those who don't conform. Now hearing it from a completely different source, it seems that dividing up the public and pitting them against one another is the way that government changes from what we have to a dictatorship or socialism or  communism. Hitler got the public to hate jewish people and that fueled his machine. Now we are told to lose our expressions (mask up!) and believe in a vaccine that is way to new to know repercussions. When it all comes down to dividing up the population so the politicians can strip us of our individuality and just conform. those who know won't tell and those who tell don't know. Technically mRna tech has been around and tested for 32 years. It’s not new. There were issues from lacking the tech needed to implement it in the early 90s but it has been tested on animals for 3 decades. It was very expensive so initially only to be used on major issues. Immunity to a virus was not cost effective. But now tech has advanced and low level viruses can be effectively immunized with its tech. It teaches your body to fight a protein signature in a virus without ever having to introduce live or weakened virus into your system. 
 

no one has died in America from being vaccinated in over 150m doses. 900 people died yesterday of COVID. But go ahead and spread misinformation to keep people from being vaccinated which keeps the virus spreading.

You should re read what I said.  I didn't say I hope you get the virus.  I said if you do, hopefully it will make you sick enough so you don't go out and infect others because you said if you get the flu , etc...you will remain inside.  But, if you do get it and you are asymptomatic, then you imply you will not remain in because you feel ok yet you will unknowingly spread it to others who might not have the amazing immune system that you claim to have.  Rude addressed mRNA so I don't need to repeat.  But, if you feel that way, take the J & J shot which is old technology which should give you the comfort you don't have with the mRNA.  Honestly, I don;t care what you do unless your actions affect others...which from your post appears that you only have regard for yourself.  I also never said Gates is a man that can be trusted.  Not sure where you got that from.  I said it's ridiculous to think Gates is in cahoots with all of these vaccine manufacturers.  Sorry but I don;t subscribe to conspiracy theories as you do.

I give everyone the chance to change my mind with open dialogue.  I noticed the term "conspiracy theory" you forgot tinfoil hat, then calling me a Racist.  I believe that's the script you were supposed to follow.  

 

With regards to mRNA - Yes the messenger RNA technology has been around for a while and has the potential of doing some great ground breaking things maybe even curing some cancers. But it's never been approved for use on humans due to the possibility of onset autoimmune disorders, hyper-inflammatory responses in some people, possible blood clotting, and other immune responses.  We just don't know the long term affects it may have on some people.  

 

And since you've poured through all of the data and 900 people died yesterday from covid please let me know how many of them were over the age of 85.  How many had cancer, heart disease, were obese, or had diabetes.  How many of there were put in nursing homes on purpose with known Covid patients?  I wish none of them died unless it was their time.  1.4 Million people died of Tuberculosis last year.  I wish everyone would have the availability to receive life saving medicines and technology.  I just don't remember when it became the government's responsibility to keep you and your families Safe?  I work at a hospital, because of the decision by the politicians of shutting down elective surgeries and not allowing routine procedures to take place we had to lay off about 2,000 full time employees.  They kept telling us "we can't overwhelm the hospitals! We have to shut everything down".  Well it's pretty overwhelming now for all those people that lost their jobs due to politicians making decision they had not clue about.  

 

And please stop telling me to do anything.  "take the J & J shot which is old technology which should give you the comfort".  I'm not telling you to do something you're not comfortable with.  I'm not stopping you from getting any shots or getting medical treatments.  If you feel comfortable with it, then by all means go for it.  It's just not for me at this time.  Maybe in a couple years when more information comes out.

I laughed at rudes original post. I took it as satire. I certainly don’t agree with all of Rude’s or pretty much anyone’s posts but I found his post comical, although laced with political attacks. 
 

It is okay to be weary of vaccines. It is okay to question their effectiveness. No one should be required to get a vaccine. I hate the idea of vaccine requirements. I think it attacks the fundamental principles of freedom that this country was supposedly founded on and that at times pretends to champion. 
 

I can’t really commit one way or another if I will get vaccinated. I know my lady will and if they offer it to kids she will have them vaccinated. I will not challenge her anyway. I don’t believe we being microchipped from the vaccine. I tend not to agree with conspiracy theories. 
 

I totally agree with what 2much just said. Whether you take the vaccine or not just like all of your medical information is private. 
 

I hate to see our discourse go to shit. It happened at the start of this whole Covid shutdown life. I was a large part of it. I strongly voiced the dissenting point of view. I was clearly not in the majority. I felt it almost my “civic duty” to express the dissenting opinion but the discourse went to shit. Nobody had their mind changed. We just squabbled and it was a waste of time. I hope not but it may altered the course of friendships and relationships I have. By the way I still feel strongly about these issues and I don’t think I was wrong at the beginning. However I learned right or wrong doesn’t matter here and I I’m talking about the DSO forums. This is a strong community that is best served keeping the conversations to Jerry, the Grateful Dead, the music, and other music your seeing. We vibe on that stuff. Even disagreements like best key board player or best year we smile at. We voice are opinions and except others. Despite this truth, I know me or anyone else telling some one that they can’t talk about Covid or politics or religion is gonna get negative response and I would never do that. I just urge everyone to listen each other and accept that we don’t all agree. Keep the discourse positive. Agree to disagree. 

I wish I had something profound to share at the end of this but I’m not sure of the right answer given where we are now.  Just hope to be dancing again in whatever form that means. I know for me it starts with a tabled event. You can get up and dance but you must stay at your table. Then we get the caverns. Outdoor pods. I need music and dance. These situations may be less than ideal but I’ll take it over nothing. 
 

I want to return to “normal” bad. I won’t accept some of what could be called the new normal but I’m not one much for violence so outside of voicing an opinion I’m not sure the majority need care about me anyway.  I hate that even with vaccines and distribution well on its way. Summer festivals being postponed until next year. Big tours being pushed until next year. I want a return to normal but I fear that they may never actually happen. That is a conspiracy I can somewhat buy into. Even with vaccine distribution well under way. We are continually being told of new variations of Covid that the vaccine may not be effective against. Like I said, I have an opinion. I just try not to express much of it here. This website is better served by Grateful Dead discourse and the sharing of feelings, emotions and love.

I don’t want to talk about but people have died from the vaccine and it’s incredible that at first every death of someone who has or had Covid 19 was attributed to Covid 19. My mom would’ve been part of that statistic. Hell it could’ve just happened. My sister tested positive for Covid. Right around the same time we entered hospice care. If my sister made my mom positive and she died the cdc would’ve rushed to call that a Covid death. My mom still alive but my mom died from stage 4 gliobastoma. What’s left of her is hardly my mom and just barely alive. The tumor and it’s treatment have had their way with her. I won’t go into details and I pray you don’t experience this but most of us have or will. You know what I’m talking about. They attributed every death they could to Covid. They refuse to let Covid vaccine be a reason.
