Been a long time since I have posted on this forum. Couldn't believe I remembered my password... Last time I was at Legend Valley was when DSO played fall hookahville with 2 electrics and a late night acoustic set. Remember that?????

It's been a hell of ride since my first show on 02/02/02 at the Michigan Theater. From the Great American Music Hall to the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom and so many venues in between... We will be flying in from Middle of Montana and look forward to spending a special weekend with all you strangers. Camping in VIP and look forward to meeting new friends and make life long memories. See you there.

Brady and Kylie Jo

Brady, great to see you are coming. I remember meeting you at that Hookahville fest. I'll also be in VIP with a great group of people, hope to run into you.

Brad

Dayrtrip 16:  Hookahville with DSO was 2007 at Legend Valley.  Late night acoustic set was extra sweet.  Funny thing, one of my most memorable moments of that weekend was when I heard the news that Appalachian State beat Michigan . . . "Where were you when..."

We usually arrive around 1:00-1:30 and there is already a huge line, which is to be expected. And by the time we get through the snake of cars, camping space in the bowl is very hard to come by.

Do they open the doors at noon, or a sometime before (so they don't have as huge of a mess/line of traffic)? It just seems like a lot of people to be already inside by the time we get down in there.

When do people start arriving, like 11:00, 10:00, or even 9:00? and do they immediately go into the Snake?

We arrive like 10am but they used to open the car gates to let us just stage inside. They made like 15 lines of 10 cars and they let us in in the order we arrived but they stopped doing that. They said let’s get everyone to safety on our property which was really cool. Not sure why they don’t do that still. It was very orderly. Fans weren’t trying to sneak in or not being cool. We all just got out of our cars and mingled. It was one of my fav things. The excitement was palpable. No one was like let us in. Everyone was patient since we were already on the grounds. Hopefully they return to that method soon as the outside staging area in the next door lot left much to be desired.

We should hit the gate between 10-11 AM Friday is the plan. Been debating our setup. Wanna take enough for a comfortable camp yet limit our trips in on Friday and out on Monday. Getting excited. Can’t wait for some DSO!!!!!!

Its looking like another hot Jubilee.  Year 3 and 4 were pretty epic weather.  High  70s low 50s.  That makes for good sleeping.  Mid 60s= sweaty sleeping.  Maybe this is the year to duct tape a hose to my car air conditioner and run the hose into the tent. Where's goingbacktowhere with his portable air conditioners when you need him!!  90s at pocahontas and we take afternoon naps in a 65 degree cabin.  That was the life.

I wouldn't get there too-too early.  A couple times I got there ~9am and they had us wait in a parking area across from the entrance.  Once the gates opened, a group of about 30 vehicles had to try and blend in with the lines and it made for some hyper moments.  We thought they would let us is first but when the freeway started backing up, we were on our own.  Folks were just understandbly anxious for the weekend to get started.....

YMMV.

The last time I camped in GA was 2012. There was no line. I see that folks mention the line and lack of spots. What time would be the best to arrive to get a decent spot in the main GA area? I was thinking 11-11:30 am, should I come earlier?

There is tons of room to set up all afternoon.  It only starts getting crowded late in the day.

I'll be driving distance Friday morning

and plan to get there at 12 to avoid

staging area, I am in VIP.

Is this a sound plan?

Praise DSO.

Yes.  Go on past GA entrance and take Kindle Road up hill and to the left. 🎉🎉
